It was a good hike with 3... - It was a good hike with 3 people and Andrew, our guide. None of us were very athletic and Andrew was able to set a good pace that was not punishing and we took small breaks. Beautiful views.

Beautiful afternoon spent - The hike was soulful! The best part was we were a small trio with Andrew (the torchbearer) so all our queries were well-attended to along the way and we also got to spend around 20m at the viewpoint which is way more than usual. We never got disbanded and completed it at an above average lap time, despite being beginners. Andrew is a very competent instructor and lead. Thanks for this wonderful experience!

Nice hike, picturesque! Did not die. ;) - We loved this hike. It was easy enough for pretty much anyone to do. There was some snow/ice at the start of the trail (April 11) and Andrew provided us with ice spikes that fit easily over our shoes. We were a mixed group of hikers, most with some experience but by no means were we professional hikers. We were in town for a conference and wanted to get out in nature. Our guide was Andrew and he did a stellar job driving us to the location and guiding the hike. He knew a lot about the area, the history, vegetation and animals...but where he lacked in ornithology, our bird master of the group filled him in...LOL! There were lots of photo opportunities and a very nice lookout to Pikes Peak. I recommend this hike to anyone who likes walking/hiking! Thanks Andrew! (tried to add pictures but they wouldn't work...sorry!)

Fantastic guide, stunning scenery - Andrew was an absolutely fantastic guide. He treated each of us like old friends and was super respectful of the varying levels of hiking expertise within our group. If you’re looking for a fun hike with stunning views led by locals who know their stuff, definitely book this day trip.

Great hiking experience! - Lauren was a great tour guide for our small group. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating, especially since we had snowy weather on our hike. She came prepared and offered extra food and gear (Thanks for the spikes!) to the group. I learned a lot on the hike about the trees, lichen, and some fun Colorado facts. The hike was around 4.5 miles and we luckily we're able to see some incredible views along the way. It was awesome to chat with Lauren about her experience living in Colorado and sharing travel stories. I highly recommend her tour if you're looking for a special, local hike, from a local tour guide, who is also very kind and fun to hangout with!

Perfect Hike For Anybody With Little Spare Time While In Colorado - Wife and I were in Denver for a work trip. We wanted to at the very least see and maybe hike in the mountains, and very spur of the moment found this Guided Hiking Tour hosted by Lauren. We didn't have any car or transportation, and Lauren graciously allowed us to ride with her to the hiking trail (huge win right there). Lauren is wonderful, and is very accommodating to each person in the group. This hike is not fast paced or slow paced, and she will go as each person in the group goes. Lauren is very knowledgeable and eager to share all of the wonderful facts that the Colorado Rockies have to offer! This is listed for a beginner hiker, but if you're not experienced, you may want to consider it more for intermediate sort of hike (we peaked at 8,000 ft). Lauren is very good at communicating tips along the way (especially if you're hiking through the snow and mud). If you're considering whether to do this hike...please don't hesitate and do it. The views, sounds, and even smells of the nature all around are worth it, and you'll be glad you did this adventure. We can't thank Lauren enough for a great afternoon and adventure :-)

Beautiful opportunity for a quick trip into the mountains - Lauren and her fellow guides were awesome in leading us up a beautiful snowy trail to a 8000 foot view on even higher peaks. While the trail was slippery, the provided spikes for our shoes made most of it easy going. Even as a midwesterner in moderate shape, I found the going easy, but the guides weee good about adding in plenty of stops for those who needed them.

Amazing hike - I was in Denver for a conference and had only a day to explore Denver. I signed up for Lauren’s day hike and it was perfect! She had spikes for safety and even an extra jacket for me to keep me warm, and snacks as well. The hike was perfect with amazing views and just enough difficulty to make me feel very proud of completing the journey. I would highly recommend Lauren as a guide. I brought home some lovely memories of Denver and the mountains.
