Church of St. Nicholas - The church of St. Nicholas at Myra was built by the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire in the 6th century. The current-day church was constructed mainly from the 8th century onward for the city’s Byzantine Greek inhabitants; a Greek Orthodox monastery was added in the second half of the 11th century.

Kekova Island - The sunken city Kekova, also named Caravola is an island near Demre the Lycian town of Myra. District of Antalya province today, which across the villages of Kaleköy the ancient city Simena and Üçağız the ancient Teimioussa. Kekova has an area of 4.5 km2 and is uninhabited.
