Slum Dog Millionaire in Delhi - 6 star Guide - Super cool tour and way to get a beat on life in the slum. Eye opening and highly educational. There below the train tracks and freeway another world exists with its own economy. Great morning activity. Sincerely another world and the community seems to be one with it. Highly recommend to give yourself a new take on the slum.

Wow! - Wow! This tour was ‘eye opening’. My friend and I are so grateful we were able to add this tour to our itinerary. We felt safe, the guide was great and the community was welcoming. You have not really experienced India until you have gone on this tour.

Rewarding experience. - This tour was a fantastic insight into the Jakira slum area. My tour guide was well known and liked by the locals as he showed me around and explained the workings of the slum. I got to interact with some of the locals especially the children who took great interest in me and they were lively and humorous. Moti, my guide, wants to encourage more people to visit as that helps bring in a bit more money to the community. I would definitely recommend, leave the tik tok videos for somewhere else and come here with respect and you will receive a rewarding experience.

Excellent Tour - This is an excellent tour giving us an insight into the lives of the people who live in this community. As we walked through the small narrow streets our guide Santan introduced us to some of the residents. We drank tea, chatted and laughed with the children who were so keen to practice English. Santan clearly has a rapport with these people especially the children as they clearly adore him

5 stars! Must do! - Highly recommend this tour to get a first hand insight into the workings of a slum. Santan is knowledge and is well known with the residents. We enjoyed visiting the micro industries within the slum and there was even an opportunity to for some hands on activities.

Humbling experience - If you always want more and find it hard to feel content, this tour is for you. It gives you a humbling look at how people survive with so little—and might shift how you see everything you already have.

Fantastic informative experience - Fantastic trip that was so informative. Santan is very friendly and is well known in the area. He took the time to explain the challenges the slum faces, the improvements the government have tried to make, and translate conversations with the locals. Highly recommend this experience.

Eye-Opening and Thought-Provoking Slum Tour in New Delhi - My wife and I recently did a slum tour in New Delhi, and it was one of the most impactful experiences of our travels. We went in with open minds, but the tour exceeded our expectations in terms of depth, education, and human connection. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and respectful, giving us insight into the daily lives of the residents while ensuring that the experience remained ethical and non-exploitative. What stood out the most was the resilience, warmth, and sense of community we witnessed. Far from being a place of hopelessness, the slum was full of hardworking people striving for better opportunities, children eager to learn, and small businesses making the most of their resources. The tour also highlighted some of the challenges faced by the community, from lack of sanitation to limited access to education, but it never felt voyeuristic or invasive. Instead, it was a chance to learn, engage, and appreciate the strength of those living in these conditions. If you're in New Delhi and looking for an experience that goes beyond the usual tourist spots, I highly recommend this tour. It was humbling, educational, and, most importantly, done in a way that respects the dignity of the residents.
