A family fishing day - I had been needing a day of high-voltage fishing for a long time. And it exceeded my expectations because Mark is a professional, he suffers and enjoys fishing like me and he also taught me how to catch a good piece. A very good day.

The biggest thrill I've ever had fishing! - I went attempting to catch a shark for two days, and on the second day we caught an enormous Tiger Shark weighing in at 400kg/890lb. Seeing it in the water and pulling it up was unbelievable to witness in person, it was like being in a movie. The captain Mark and the crew Russ and Billy were proficient throughout, and I had a great time hanging out. This is a must to do if you are visiting Miami and are into fishing.

Had a blast, the best charter experience I’ve had in FL - Marks a legend. If you want to go out and have a great time then this captain and crew should be your first pick. Good times and tight lines with these guys. “Got em on!”

Best Birthday - I was talking with my youngest son, a naval officer, over the summer and he informed me that he was shipping-out right after his 25th birthday. I asked him what he wanted on this special occasion and he told me that he always wanted to catch a big shark. I had fished with Mark about 20 years ago, so I was certain I knew the right man for the job. Mark set us up in a beautiful condo right next to the boat and my two sons and I headed out for a day of fishing aboard “Striker-1”. The seas were calm and the rain kept it’s distance, but managed to produce double rainbows over Miami. Mark’s crew were first-rate – professional, personable and tough as nails. We also had a young couple onboard who were doing a piece on Mark for their Outdoor YouTube Channel. The stage was set – all we needed was monster. By 11:15 am my son was hooked up. By 1pm it was apparent there was something special on the end of the line. After a grueling four-hour battle in the hot Miami sun, my son was standing, birthday cake in hand, next to a 12-foot Tiger Shark on the hoist. As we headed back in with our trophy, tour boats and onlookers came alongside to take pictures and offer congratulations. At the dock a crowd gathered, drawn by the immensity of the beast. We then loaded the shark on the truck so Mark could take it to be processed to feed the Miami-area homeless. Needless to say, it was my son’s best birthday – and that’s tough to pull-off when they’re 25 years-old! Lol I don’t know who they’ve got down in Australia or South Africa, but the best monster shark fishing Captain in North America is Mark the Shark. Give him a call and get a thrill.

"Fishing" - If I could put -5* I would. The day begins when we arrive, even though we contacted him the day before by telephone, after having reserved on the internet. He tells us to come at 8am. The next day at 8am we arrive, we are not well received by Mark who explains to us that he has 2 reservations at the same time (which is not our fault per se), but he is losing patience and is quite unpleasant faced with our difficulty in understanding because we are foreigners. The other group arrives, there are 8 of them and 2 of us. It's still quite a crowd. We leave at sea at 9 a.m., and he tells us to return to port at 4 p.m. We had booked 5 hours of fishing so we were delighted. *Note that his crew is really great, especially Russ who was there that day, a great guy who takes the time to chat, even if you are strangers*. We paid $900 for a fishing trip, and once at sea, we spent our time from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. watching others fish, there were too many of us. I would like to point out that at no time were we able to touch a fishing rod even though we paid a very high price for a fishing trip, can someone explain to me? When we talk to Mark about it he shrugs his shoulders and tells us to come back the next day except that our trip is planned and it's that day that we wanted to fish.. Obviously after our request, no compensation or other is planned, we can spend our $900 very deep I think because we will never see them again. We had neither water nor frame with our "catch" necessarily, although we would have had to try to fish something to get a photo. Quite honestly, I've never seen such a mediocre performance, it's incredible. We booked on HelloTicket, it was very well rated but looking on Google I see that people may have also had bad experiences! That reassures me, we're not the only ones. It's really not legal! Not to do it again, we are disappointed and disgusted with our day, I don't even have the words. I strongly advise against it!

Never book a trip with that idiot - The worst fishing experience. I have spent my life fishing in different part of the world. When I came to Miami I found Mark as a Shark hunter. Long story short. We spent 6 hours catching nothing. After he asked to pay for 500$ more than we agreed. When I said that I will pay only the agreed price and no 1$ more he started to threaten me with the gun ( i was with my wife). Thanks god we had a chance to call 911 and they came fast. Don’t use his charter. Or better sink his boat when you have a chance.
