Embark on an air safari to Mikumi, featuring game drives within Mikumi NP, and a cultural excursion to a local Maasai village. Mikumi is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including zebras, elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo, hippos, and crocodiles.

Upon landing at the airstrip, our driver guide will greet you and lead you to an afternoon game drive. Pause for a bush lunch at Mikumi cottages, where you can observe baboons nearby. Spend the remainder of the day discovering the vast national park and its inhabitants from the vantage point of an open-sided safari vehicle. Your evening will include dinner and an overnight stay at a cozy camp lodge.

Full Day in Mikumi, Tanzania

Mikumi National Park - Spend an entire day on game drives in Mikumi NP, witnessing the park’s rich wildlife population. The open savannah terrain of Mikumi facilitates easier wildlife viewing than in more forested national parks.
Lunch will once again be served at the Mikumi cottages.
Your overnight stay will be at the camp lodge, which features a swimming pool.

Mikumi to Dar es Salaam

Mikumi - After breakfast, set off for a tour of the Maasai community village.
This will be followed by a half-day game drive with a packed lunch provided.
Then, head to the airstrip for your return flight to Dar es Salaam.

Iringa Airport - The drive from Iringa to Dar es Salaam is uneven and jarring. You will stop twice for lunch and to refresh. The trip will last approximately 9 hours, with an evening arrival in Dar es Salaam, marking the conclusion of your journey.

This trip is spectacular, catering to two distinct types of groups. One consists of adventurous individuals choosing to travel from Dar es Salaam to Iringa by road. The other segment includes those who prefer flying from Dar es salaam to Iringa, followed by an evening safari at Ruaha National Park. This park, located approximately 130 kilometers west of Iringa, is the biggest National Park in Tanzania.
Over two days, you will embark on game drives, avidly exploring various parts of the park for a glimpse of wild animals. Sightings may include a vast population of elephants, giraffes, hippos, lions, zebras, kudus, numerous bird species, and more.
In the evening, your guide or driver will join you for a meal, engage in a conversation about your day’s experiences, and discuss the plan for the subsequent day’s game drive.
