Howard Carter House - Then, you’ll drive to the domed mud-brick house where Howard Carter lived during his search for Tutankhamun’s tomb. The house, surrounded by a garden on a barren slope above the road from Deir Al Bahari to the Valley of the Kings, has been restored and decorated with pictures and tools from the excavations. An exact replica of Tutankhamun’s burial chamber has been constructed at the edge of the garden, along with an exhibition related to the tomb’s discovery.

Located in the Theban Necropolis in Upper Egypt, on the west bank of the Nile River, across from modern Luxor, the design of Ramesses’s mortuary temple follows the standard canons of New Kingdom temple architecture.
