Interesting Example of Greek and Roman adoption of Egyptian traditions. - We visited Denderah as part of a Nile cruise. The temple is a little ways out of Louxor, but it is worth a detour: it represents how Greek and Romans ended up adopting Egyptian religion and to get accepted. The peristyle open air courtyard and other areas are beautiful and well visible still. It is worth a visit

The most Beautiful largest Temple. - One of the largest temple complexes in Egypt from the Plotomic period.built by Clepatras Father. The main hall is magnificent with the columns depicting the beauty of Goddess Hathor .The interior has many small chambers on both sides with a stairway leading up to the roof with a birds eye view over the complex. . At the very back of the temple there is an entrance down to the Crypts.Though I could not find it but think it was a locked gate with a guardian .so surely many people miss it.The back exterior of the temple depicts Cleopatra and to the right the sacred lake .long devoid of water. The details on the Temple wallls are stunning.. Tips Tickets sold separately for main complex .Roof and crypt. credit card payment only. There is a coffee shop and very clean WC facilities at the main entrance once you enter. No shade . Appriximately 1hour 15mins from Luxor.
