Great visit to two must-see locations - Despite the long journey from Colombo, this was a very memorable day! Beware of the heat at Sigiriya and bring water. The food at the lunch location, Pradeep restaurant, was the best food I had in Sri Lanka. Our guide was patient and knowledgeable.

A great day! - The trip was fabulous and the tour co-ordinator was very happy to make changes to our schedule. Due to the elephants migrating to a different eco park we swapped to this from the suggested one and nothing was too much trouble. Our car driver was lovely and everything had been planned. Correspondence was very easy and quick. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful day - We had a very nice tour that we could design individually. You could also book a few additional activities, including the choice between different safaris. Very good if you only have a short amount of time in Sri Lanka but still want to see Sigiriya!

Beautiful day trip worth the drive! - We had a great experience on our tour of Dambulla & Sigiriya! The cave temple is a short but cool experience and the paintings on the rocks are impressive. Sigiriya is a great hike (mostly steep steps but it goes by quickly) and the views are incredible. We also stopped at Huluru Eco Park on the way back because the knowledgeable driver said that’s where the most elephants were that day. Our driver Sanchitha was great and helped make the trip so much fun. He always knew the answers to our questions and was very punctual, considerate, and thoughtful. We were very comfortable in the car, which was important given the long drive to get there and back.

Great adventures in Sri Lanka - I really enjoyed our short (24-hours) but very much appreciated stay in Sri Lanka on Nov 19-20. I want to thank our guide Roshan and driver Pathum who adjusted the schedule in order to do or see sites according to our tight schedule (as we had to come back to the ship on time). We had the opportunity to see some very interesting sites of Colombo, as well as 2 of the countryside's iconic landmarks recognized by UNESCO, namely Sigiriya and Dambulla Caves. Roshan was very informative in describing the culture and way of life of Sri Lankans. Ayubowan!!!

Gorgeous day driving across Sri Lanka. - Sanchita was a super wonderful informative guide and driver. Took us on a jeep Safari (had to cut short due to times constraint). Saw some elephants :) then off to view Sigiriya (no time to climb stairs) and Golden Temple Dambulla (no time for caves). All in all, a good day, purely due to our driver, he was very apologetic and disappointed for us to rush. Saw some beautiful country scenery, some radical drivers, and many police. It was a shame there is absolutely no capacity this tour can be done in the stipulated 6-9 hours as it is approx 6 hour round trip. This should be revised! The included lunch was not possible again due to no time.

A great day out with a fantastic lunch - Good communications with this company. I arranged to be picked up at 8am and Dilshan arrived promptly on time. Firstly we stopped at Dambulla cave about 2 hours away, then on to Sigiriya. I could spend as long as I liked here. Two hours is enough to go to the top and see the gardens and grounds. The entrance cost has now increased to $37 which I thought was quite expensive for what it was. Tourist extortion! I then had the option of the safari or village tour. I'd already done a safari so opted for the village tour. The cost was $20 which consisted of a very short ride by bull and cart , followed by a short tuk tuk ride to the river for a canoe ride across the river. I enjoyed the canoe the most but again, it was very short. Then tuk tuk to village house for lunch. I would have liked longer on the river. $20 is very high for this short experience. The best part was the included lunch. The local villager showed me how they culled , and ground rice ,and crack and shave coconut for cooking amongst other things. It was very interesting to watch and she let me try also. She then brought out loads of freshly prepared curries, sambol, rice, fruit and some delicious Kavum, which is the first time I've got around to trying this tasty dessert as well as the jackfruit curry. It was a fantastic experience, with a lot of tasty authentic food. Dilsham, did a great job at showing me the sights for the day, taking some photos of me and we stopped at the Golden Buddah on the way back for a quite photo stop. A thoroughly enjoyable day, despite the expense.

Find Another Service!!!!! - We enjoyed these excursions immensely but I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. The van is extremely old and uncomfortable. You will be spending 7 hours in the car. Spend a bit more for a comfortable vehicle and you will thank yourself later. There was no guide services included except at the safari park. The driver spoke poor English and did not offer any information about the sites visited. Lunch is a long detour that they try to push on you instead of the elephant safari. When we asked to skip lunch for something quicker and go straight to the safari our driver seemed confused and not prepared to take us to the park. He had to make a phone call to get clarity on what to do and he didn’t seem to understand what our original plan was. Again, I would while heartily recommend the excursions to anyone, but save yourself some stress and pain and go with another outfitter. PS. If you wear light clothes make sure to bring something to cover your arms and legs for the temple or be noted there are options to rent something right outside. This was also not explained in the listing. The driver told me I had to buy an expensive tourist trap shawl and then we saw there were sarongs to rent for very cheap once we got to the entrance. Don’t make my mistake!
