The Ultimate JFK assasination tour - Viator certifies its tour operators. This was clear when we met John. He gave us a coherent and clear walk through the events of that tragic date. It included the motorcade route, where Jack Ruby was shot, and the ensuing route that Lee Harvey Oswald took to flee. We were able to go inside the rooming house where he stayed, and even met the granddaughter of the owner of the home, who now lives there. Lee Harvey Oswald played with her when she was an 11 year old girl. It ended at the 6th floor museum in the book depository in Dealey Plaza with more information given to us at on the “grassy knoll.” I cannot recommend this tour enough. I had some ideas about what happened that day, and had done extensive reading. John walked us through the crime as we toured and learned so much I didn’t know. John was able to engage us all and answer questions. I have nothing but praise for his expertise, kindness, and professionalism. I’d like to return with my husband and hope that John is our tour guide again. I want to add that if you go to Dealey Plaza be wary of people purporting to be experts. They want your money and most of them don’t have the expertise that Viator’s tour operators do.

Great experience despite the weather - Took this tour in an absolute downpour and thunderstorm. Despite the terrible weather conditions, our tour guide, John Papaleo, was wonderful. He was upbeat, very engaging, most knowledgeable of the history of the assassination, and his Italian accent was delightful. I just wish the weather had cooperated because we were so looking forward to this tour. We learned a lot but nice weather would have made it so much more enjoyable.

Excellent. Would recommend to anyone!!! - John, our narrator, was extremely knowledgeable about the events leading up to the assassination. He made the tour interesting and fun. The x marks in the road from each shot was neat to see. The museum had a lot of interesting history as well.

So you think Oswald did it ? Hmmm. - If you are even marginally interested in the JFK assassination you must go on this tour! I have been waiting 60+ years to get to Dallas and Dealy PLaza . This tour was perfect for anyone who wants to learn some interesting facts about that day 11/22/63 . I am not an expert on the assassination but have read a 'few' books which supported various theories. I do have my own theory. After taking this tour you will probably come to some theory of your own. Our driver Tim was phenomenal !! If you can request him as your driver do it. I don't want to spoil it by telling you the ' what and where ' of the whole tour but one can't help but be very surprised by the end of the drive. The 6th floor Museum was our last stop. It is an exceptional collection of JFK memorabilia.

You will learn much more than you think - The Viator guide was friendly and informative. He encouraged us to ask questions and to consider the different possibilities, which made it interesting. The three hour tour went by very fast, and there were unexpected surprises such as visiting Oswald’s living quarters

I went with my parents... - I went with my parents for my dad’s birthday and it was so much better than we could have anticipated! Being that it was even more than just the museum made it more enjoyable and entertaining and it was honestly one of the best experiences. Our tour guide Preston was super knowledgeable and engaging and made the experience fun for all ages that were there, you can tell that he is passionate about what he does and it makes everyone feel more involved. This was a great tour and I would definitely recommend taking your friends or family!

Great tour! Museums meh - Our tour guide Orlando was knowledgeable, funny and personable. He made the whole experience! He was continually telling us facts and answering our questions. Oswald s rooming house was mildly interesting but the 6th floor was not worthwhile

Okay tour, but too much conspiracy theory - I was disappointed with this tour. First, tickets for the Sixth-floor Museum were not available at the end of the bus tour due to crowds in Dallas for the eclipse. The tour company was able to get tickets for 3:00 pm, so we took those, otherwise they were willing to refund our money for that part of the tour. The crowd wasn't the fault of the tour company, and we'll never be back in Dallas, and didn't want to miss the museum, so we had to rearrange the rest of our plans for the day. My main concern was although the guide was genuinely nice and cordial, a vast amount of information he gave was conspiracy theory stuff which has been debunked or just pure speculation. Regarding the JFK assassination, you either believe the Warren Commission lone assassin conclusion or you don't, and if you don't, it's easy to fall down the rabbit hole and allow speculation, rumors, conflicting testimony, misinformation to shape your conclusions rather than proven facts. I wish the guide had been more forthcoming with facts and less focused on speculation and rumors. When we stopped at Dealy Plaza, I thought we were going to walk down Elm Street and maybe to the grassy knoll to get another view of the plaza, the stockade fence, etc. but we didn't, so I had to do that at the end of the tour. When we got to the Oswald Rooming House another tour van was there, so we went to the site of the Tippett murder, then the Texas theater, then back to the Rooming House. This was not the order it should have been in, so it was difficult for a tourist to get a good sense of how events happened and the distances involved. It would have been far better if we did the Rooming House first, then traced Oswald's path to the Tippett murder spot then the Texas theater. It would have made much more sense doing it that way, but I'm sure the guide was just trying to make the best use of time on the tour. Interesting for an assassination buff like I am, to actually see these locations, but it could have been a better experience.
