- Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center - Designed by architect I. M. Pei and acoustician Russell Johnson. The building’s acoustics were the first in the world to be designed by computer applications; it is considered a 100% acoustically-perfect building. The exterior includes 22,000 pieces of Indiana limestone, 33,000 feet of Italian travertine and 211 glass panels, no two alike. Interior features include the Lay Family 4,535 pipe-organ; reverberation chamber doors and an adjustable canopy weighing 46,000 pounds.
