Where Civilization Ends and Ancient Footprints Guide You into Fulufjället’s Untamed Heart
Njupeskar Waterfall - The journey begins with distributing backpacks and allocating shared equipment such as tents, stoves, and food. Together, the group plans the route using a map and compass before venturing into Fulufjället’s primeval forest. The path leads across rocky slopes to the mountain plateau, where a lunch break offers a breathtaking view. As the group progresses toward the night camp, discussions about mountain safety, navigation, and essentials for a safe and enjoyable hike take place. Upon finding the ideal campsite, everyone sets up tents and prepares dinner together. If the weather is favorable, stories are shared under the open sky. Otherwise, the group retreats into tents, falling asleep to the comforting sound of rain on canvas.
Fulufjällets National Park
Fulufjället National Park - The day begins in sleeping bags, either warmed by the sun or stirred by the wind. After a simple breakfast, the camp is packed up. In case of rain, strategies for packing a wet tent without soaking other gear are discussed. The journey continues across Fulufjället’s lunar-like plateau, home to rare flora and untouched wilderness—one of Sweden’s few pristine mountains, never used for reindeer herding. After breaks for rest and lunch, the group arrives at Rösjöstugorna in the afternoon. Here, camp is set up again, with access to a sauna and a lake for swimming, or perhaps a peaceful moment of fishing or boating. A relaxing evening is enjoyed before retreating to the tents once more.
Final Day
Njupeskar Waterfall - Be captivated by the majestic Njupeskär – Sweden’s tallest waterfall – where the raw power of nature meets tranquil alpine beauty. A stunning highlight of the Fulufjället adventure.
