Highlights
  • Dalaman Stream - Marmaris Rafting, Archaically named Indos, the Dalaman River was once the border between the ancient civilizations of Caria and Lycia. With its ever-flowing whitewaters, awe-inspiring wilderness, beautiful canyons and ancient remains, the venue provides a perfect backdrop for this heart-pounding activity. The river offers plenty of rapids ranging from 2 to 4 ( grade 6 being the most challenging ).\n\nThe journey from Marmaris to our base takes about an hour and half and includes a stop for breakfast. On arrival we change into rafting suits and continue the rest of the route on the off-road vehicles with rafts atop.\n\nFrom Marmaris Dalaman River Rafting, After a comprehensive instruction course we head off right into the watery arms of Mother Nature. Any nerves are dispelled at the first rapid as you quickly learn to love the thrill and rush of the river.\n\nRafting time is about three hours with a stop half way for swimming and cliff jumping. As rafting requires team work, a team-spirit is always developed spontaneously.\n\nTowards the end, half a mile before our base, rafts pass under an ancient bridge which gives its name to the village of Akkopru ( The White Bridge ).

Exhilarating experience for newbies and thrill seekers - The trip was professional from start to finish. They picked us up from our hotel exactly on time and once we got to the base camp we had a delicious breakfast. The travelling times are a lot, probably four+ hours overall but once we got to the river we did a safety briefing and were taught all the commands and instructions. We had so much fun on the river and the guides clearly love their job a lot! The rafting isn't that scary, it feels like a theme park ride but it is hard work and you'll feel it the next day! Do bring suitable shoes you're willing to get wet and wear sunscreen!! There was a photographer taking lots of pictures and videos that we could purchase at the end for around £30 which is reasonable for amazing pictures and a fully edited video. Once we finished the rafting we went back to base for lunch. We were told it was too cold for swimming and cliff jumping which was a shame as we were really looking forward to this part. Lunch was absolutely delicious and was vegetarian/vegan friendly. We finally got dropped back to our hotel and were ready for a siesta! Would highly recommend this tour company and their rafting.
