Dakar’s Place de l’Indépendance is the beating heart of the city. Designed symmetrically, it contains majestic colonial buildings, including the Gouvernance (office of the French governor) and the Chamber of Commerce.

• Embarcadère Île de Gorée - The place which allows to make the Maritime Link Dakar - Island of Gorée. The island of Goree, is both an island in the North Atlantic Ocean located in the bay of Dakar and one of the 19 districts of the capital of Senegal.
• The Museum of Black Civilisations - Our on-site guide will take you on a tour of this pan-African museum located near downtown Dakar. The building, built on 4 thematic levels and 14,000 square meters, faces the Grand Théâtre National. Its architecture is inspired by the impluvium huts of Casamance, in the south of Senegal, and of Great Zimbabwe. The structure is like a “small round hut very common in Africa”, here redesigned to introduce daylight into all the spaces of the museum. A visit not to be missed!
