Lagoon/animal reserve experience AWESOME - We had a wonderful experience in Dakar, Senegal going to a Lagoon where we saw hundreds of birds, and then we went to an animal reserve where we saw giraffes, rhinos, hyenas, crocodiles, monkeys, and-gazelles! The guide was wonderful as he picked us up at the cruise terminal and dropped us back off, making for a very easy fun day! I definitely would recommend this excursion!

Lagoon/animal reserve AWESOME! - I really wanted to see animals when I was in Dakar, Senegal so I was thrilled to find an excursion on Viator that went to an animal reserve we had a great time. The knowledgeable guide picked us up at the cruise terminal and transported us to a lagoon where we a took a small boat, and saw hundreds of birds. Afterwards, we went to the animal reserve where we saw rhinos, giraffes, hyenas, crocodiles, antelopes and gazelles. It was awesome!

Great day for nature lovers - Really enjoyed this day out seeing the more natural side of Senegal. The reserve is full of animals, on the game drive saw something new every few minutes. Particularly enjoyed the boat trip on the Somone lagoon, was nice and relaxed. Abdoulaye was a great guide, very engaging through the day. Just be aware it is a full day trip not half but was back at the hotel before 5.

A day trip from Dakar - This was a great experience. The tour was great from start to finish: convenient and timely pickup from my hotel in Dakar, smooth ride to the reserve and the lagoon, a friendly tour guide throughout, and magnificent wildlife and scenery.

Great way to explore more of Senegal - This tour is a great way to do some of the major things outside of Dakar that would be hard to do on your own.
Abdoulaye (the guide) was professional and knew how to flow according to our interests staying within the plan, plus she speaks French, English, Spanish and German at least.

A not to be missed tour - The tour was a full day instead of a half when you include the transportation, however, it was truly a fantastic day in every aspect. Our guide, abul (sp) was knowledgeable and good spirited. All of the animals that were advertised were seen. The boat ride on the lagoon was peaceful and relaxing.
Lunch was delicious.

The tour is okay - Overall the experience was good. The tour guide spoke English very well and answered all of our questions. He provided a lot of information without overwhelming us. The downsides are we would’ve liked to see more animals in the Reserve and the vehicle of transportation to and from the train station. I personally do not believe the tour was worth the price especially considering the vehicle was small without air conditioning.

Viator Charged me for the excursion, but It was cancelled weeks before the excursion. Request Refund! - Please read the attached comments. I did not participate in this, as I cancelled it. You did charge me for the cancelled excursion, and I requesting a full refund. Thank You
Aloha from Hawaii. I’m back from my travels, and see that you charged my credit card for this excursion. I cancelled it telephonically with Viator in the same manner that I made the original registration. The tour coordinator contacted me a few weeks before the tour was scheduled to occur, and told me that their was not enough time to go to both destinations, and lobbied for me to do one of the items but do a drive around the city in stead. I decided not to follow this change in itinerary and we cancelled at Viator. Subsequently, I replied to several emails that the tour coordinator sent trying to coordinate a pickup time and location, and relayed that I cancelled the tour. The tour operator replied several times that they understand that I was no longer scheduled. Please issue a credit to correct this misunderstanding.
