Great trip!!! Highly Recommended - This was a great trip!! Do not Believe that this is a four hour trip. We were gone for nine and a half hours. We drove more than an hour to the reserve and had to wait for almost 2 hours to get into see the animals. We then had to drive to the lagoon where we had a long wait for lunch. We took a boat through the lagoon and saw mostly birds in the mangroves. In the reserve we saw rhinos and Impalas, zebras, giraffes, alligators, and monkeys. It was very interesting to see them not behind the zoo fence. Our guide was knowledgeable and had a lot to say about what was inside the park. Abdul Diallo was our tour guide for the day and was amazing. He was very patient, considerate, and very informative about all the questions we had. He facilitated the administration business for getting us into the reserve, securing our boat, ordering our lunch and making sure we had a good time. Overall, I would highly recommend this trip. However do not think that it is going to be 4 hours, because it's not! Even though the day was long, it was worth it!!

Great trip of Bandia Park and Somone Lagoon - It was a very memorable trip to see the wildlife inhabiting the Bandia Reserve. The tour was very well organized to provide maximum information about the country and the places visited. The exploration of the Somone Lagoon in a motor boat was a great opportunity to see the birds of the area. And the lunch afterward with fresh fish and local beer was very good. Overall it was a great experience.

Worth the drive - Very nice excursion. Very informal and not very fancy. Be ready for long drives though from Dakar. Both the park experience and the lagoon are wonderful. The lagoon in particular is pretty impressive in terms of conservation. Lunch was rustic but pleasant. Mr. Diallo was very fun, knowledgeable and engaging. He could easily lecture on Senegal history and culture. Be patient and open minded.

Amazing Senegal - This was the highlight of our stay in Senegal. Our kind guide, car driver and boat captain were all very professional and helpful, we were even able to make adjustments to our plans the night before. After a comfortable drive, during which we learned a lot about Senegal's cities and tribes, we arrived at Bandia Park, where endangered animals roam free and us tourists are carefully driven around to spot them, but not disturb them. We could safely take pictures of giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, ostriches (!) and crocodiles. A pro-tip is to bring small bills for going to the toilet. In the afternoon, we were helped on a boat through the Mangrove lagoon near the Atlantic ocean, where the friendly captain pointed out villages, pelicans, crabs, water spiders and beautiful birds we hadn't even heard of. People were very friendly and we finished our trip with a wonderful lunch at the lagoon., after which we were safely taken back to our hotel.

Safari is memorable however this tour company skip - The tour at Bandia was excellent. I definitely recommend it. I could have skipped the lagoon. Just seeing all the animals just roaming around was something I will always remember. Just don’t use this tour group. It’s a long ride to the wildlife reserve and the guy and the driver talked among themselves the whole time. The driver kept spitting out the window, disgusting. I was thinking it is good thing I used to work with pregnant women or I would have thrown up. In short go on the safari but don’t go with this tour group.
