Vinicunca Mountain - TRIP PLAN
The adventure begins between 4:00 a.m. m. and 4:30 a.m. m., at which time our carrier will pick you up at your lodging, after which we will go to the town of Cusipata
Around 6:30 am we will arrive in Cusipata where we will enjoy a buffet breakfast.
After breakfast, we will start the ascent along a communal dirt road until we reach 4,800 meters of altitude.
Later, we will start a walk through a 4 km trail, on the way you will enjoy landscapes full of flora and fauna of the Andes.
The colored mountain network will begin to appear little by little, until reaching the viewpoint at 5,000 meters above sea level. Then we will go down the same path, to board our vehicle and go down to Cusipata, Here you will have a delicious lunch and then return to the imperial city of Cusco.
At the end of the Mountain of Colors Tour, you will return to Cusco where our transport will take you to the city center (approximately 04:30 pm)

The Cerro Colorado, also known as the Mountain of 7 Colors or Rainbow Mountain, is situated in Vinicunca, within the Quipicanchis province of the Cusco department. The mountain’s geological structures display their magnificent colors in stark contrast to the blue sky, forming a dramatic division between the coastal desert and the Amazon rainforest. The Vinicunca mountains, part of the striking Vilcanota mountain range, possess a natural coloring due to erosion of sedimentary rocks. The arrangement of these rocks resulting in a vibrant spectrum of seven colors is truly awe-inspiring. The mountain stands at a substantial height of approximately 5,000 meters above sea level. Great day - Rainbow mountain is spectacular. The tour was well organised and ran smoothly. Gorki was a brilliant tour guide. He was kind and supportive when we were struggling with the altitude and gave us lots of interesting information. The food had good vegan options.

Very good, Recommended!!!! - This tour was fantastic, the excursion starts very early and the pick-up is very punctual, our driver was very careful when driving!!
The breakfast and lunch were very exquisite and varied, the walk is somewhat difficult but it is worth it to get to such a majestic place, we had the best shots of the mountain!!
I thank our guide Gorki for helping us with recommendations for the walk! Everything was incredible, I recommend it!!!!

Perfect ride - I really liked. Everything went well on the trip. The climb is quite complicated, for those who are not used to the altitude, however, our guide Gorki gave us all the support we needed to complete the entire route. Furthermore, the tour included a very good breakfast and lunch. I was satisfied.

A very nice day! - It was a very nice day. We have been very lucky with the day, because it has been sunny even though we are already entering the rainy season.
We left super early, after 1.5 hours by car we stopped for breakfast. There were options for vegetarians and vegans.
Then another 1 hour by car to where the road begins. Some have chosen to go with horses. I walked, the guide Gorki showed us the flowery water to help us breathe.
The walk is difficult in the last meters, as there is a lot of climbing. But it can be done slowly and when you get to the top it is incredible! You forget all the suffering.
The guide Gorki was always checking to see if everyone was okay and when he noticed that I was starting to have altitude sickness, he told me to return to the car.
On the way back we stopped at the same restaurant and again there were options for vegetarians or vegans.
Gorki explained a lot to us about the mountains and the llamas and alpacas.
It's been a great day. Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience! - We loved seeing Rainbow Mountain! It was a fantastic experience, full of Peruvian culture and beautiful landscapes. The guide Gorki was always attentive to everything, which made the tour much more pleasant. We loved breakfast and lunch. We recommend this tour 100%.

GREAT EXPERIENCE......VALUE FOR MONEY - Value for money. magnificent experience. unique landscape. visual treat for your eyes. pickup was on time and FREDDIE KRUGER our guide was simply awesome. he was there with every one of the group throughout the trip. he also helped in getting the horse ride midway through the trek. the breakfast and lunch provided was really great. they have enough medical aid to support in case of emergencies. the vehicle for transportation was in very good condition with comfortable seating. explainations were made both in English and Spanish. they do every bit of work for the money we pay them. if I ever go back to rainbow mountain, I'll go with them. keep up the good work guys.

It is a difficult journey. But it can.

Amazing experience! - It was such a great experience and the view on the top was amazing, we had such a great time! Fredy our tour guide took us up to the top, he was giving us interesting info about the site and tips for taking amazing pictures!
