Additional Information

Vinicunca, also known as the Seven-Colored Mountain or Rainbow Mountain, is nestled in Cusco’s southern region. It never fails to quench the thirst of even the most adventurous trekkers and tourists, imprinting indelible memories of its rugged landscapes. Breathtaking scenes of towering mountains, imposing glaciers, crystal-clear rivers, placid lakes, serene pastoral vistas with alpacas tended by local Andeans, and the humble households of the area all contribute to its charm. The recent addition to the trail offers a genuine, untouched wilderness experience, running through Puka Punta or ‘red lead’, a mountain peak within the Willkanuta mountain range, and smaller communities of Quechua-speaking natives. The trail ascends to heights ranging from 4710m to 5200m, offering unparalleled bird’s-eye views. On traversing this path, there’s a good chance you’ll have this southern extension all to yourself, crossing paths with no or a minimal number of hikers. Wow.. - If you have some extra time in Cusco definitely visit! It's about a three and a half hour drive from Cusco so I recommend getting there by 7:00 am or 7:30 am to beat the crowds. It's about $20 if you want to rent a horse versus walking the trail to the base of the mountain. They're simply beautiful! Don't pass it up!

Conde Travel was amazing - I used Conde Travel services to book all my tours in Cusco, my friend and I did the Rainbow mountain, Machu Picchu, Huayna Picchu, and Humantay lake. They were beyond amazing, they were always willing to help and were constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything. I will definitely use them again.

DO NOT USE CONDE TRAVEL - DO NOT USE CONDE TRAVEL. Pick up was earlier than scheduled and we were getting calls asking us to come down from the hotel fast. This is not acceptable when you get a scheduled from Conde Travel saying that your pick up time is from 4:20am to 4:45am and you start getting calls at 4am. There were no coordination to pick up riders and was all over the place. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. Her name is Vicky. Very nice person. The experience at the Site was awesome. On our way back we were delayed one hour due to riders not been on time. The bus did not have air conditioner and imagine riding for 3 hours with 10 other people without air conditioner. This is unnaceptable. The driver never explained what was going on with the air conditioner even when we asked several times. In general, I will not use Conde Travel.
