Heartwarming - Worth the time to visit a great place doing great work. Enjoy the explanation of what they do, where the animals came from as far as the condition and the plan to re-release back into the wild.

Great last minute activity! - Our flight was pushed to an earlier time so our original excursion had to be cancelled. I found this sanctuary and booked the tickets immediately. Loved the tour! I run an animal shelter in the US and I was excited to see the great work the sanctuary is doing.

Great people doing great work - Albert and the sanctuary staff are doing great work providing for rescued animals and where possible releasing them back into the wild. The sanctuary is small and privately funded - they clearly feel a passion for their valuable work and share that passion with their visitors. Animal lovers and those interested in Peruvian animals will greatly enjoy this experience.

A must see for the animal lover - I really enjoyed the sanctuary, it was beyond what I expected. The guide Alberto was wonderful in telling me about the sanctuary - the history, the animals and their care and rescue and release plans. This was the perfect last experience before leaving Cusco. My favorite was seeing the condor in flight!

A must for kids and adults alike! - Special, up-close experience with local animals and a private tour guide. Our guide, Albert, did an amazing job explaining everything to us, and he was extremely patient, giving us plenty of time to feed and interact with the animals. The front door pick-up service also made the entire visit that much easier, and our driver, Jhoao, was very friendly and had an immaculately clean car. Would highly recommended this to anyone visiting in the area, especially those with kids or teens.

Cute place to learn about and feed animals - This small sanctuary is a labor of love and it shows. The animals are well cared for and it was nice to be able to come close to them.

Excellent Day Trip! - Visiting the sanctuary was a great experience! I saw many different animals (bears, llamas, alpacas, vicunas, condors, ducks, birds, for example) that were rescued and are now being taken care of at the sanctuary. Some animals will eventually be released back into the wild. Alberto (my tour guide) did a fantastic job of explaining the details of how a particular animal arrived at the sanctuary and I was allowed to feed the llamas and alpacas. I also made friends with a duck! Seeing condors up close was amazing! You can order an admission ticket online and when you arrive in Cusco, call the sanctuary and arrange for a round-trip ride from your hotel and back. There is a food concession on site and a souvenir shop where you can buy lots of nice things. Money goes to help the animals. Please visit the sanctuary; I know you will enjoy your visit and the animals are looking forward to seeing you!
