The Salkantay Trek is named after Mount Salkantay, which stands at 20,574 feet, towering higher than any mountain in North America. Along the trek, adventurers will encounter breathtaking blue lakes, magnificent glaciers, and lush rainforests. The final section of this trek features an ecosystem similar to the Inca Trail, with vibrant green vegetation and ancient Inca ruins. This trek beautifully combines elements of two highly popular hikes, offering an unmatched diversity of flora and fauna.
The trek includes two nights of camping and one night in a bed and breakfast in Aguas Calientes.
