The locals refer to the stunning site of Vinincunca - Arcoiris as the Mountain of 7 Colors or Rainbow Mountain. It’s nestled within the department of Cusco, between the provinces of Quispicanchis and Canchis. The mountain is unique due to the rainbow colors visible on its slopes, varying in intensity depending upon the season and weather conditions. The sight is further complemented by the snowcapped peaks of the Vilcanota mountain range. South American camelids like llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas can be spotted here, and fortunate visitors might even catch a glimpse of the world’s largest bird, the condor, soaring over the ranges.
