Review for Jorge — Machu Picchu Tour Guide - Jorge was the perfect tour guide! He helped us every step of the way — from getting our train tickets to boarding the train and navigating the entry process. During the tour, he let us go at our own pace, suggested the best spots for photos, and shared fascinating stories and history about Machu Picchu. His knowledge, patience, and attention to detail made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend Jorge to anyone visiting Machu Picchu — he truly goes above and beyond to make the day unforgettable.

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Machu Picchu Day Trip with Ruben - It was amazing to visit Machu Picchu in one day from Cusco. Rubén was our tour guide, and it was easy to feel his love for the Inca Trail, the culture, and the past of the lost city. We were amazed all day, from the Andes Mountains to the old ruins of the castle. The food was delicious, the transportation was perfect, and the whole experience was magical. I strongly advise anyone who is thinking about traveling to Peru or Machu Picchu to do so.

Once in a life time experience. - It will be a long day, make sure you bring snacks as our itinerary didn't give us time to stop for breakfast or lunch. You will not know what circuit you will be doing until you get the tickets sent to you on that day. We got circuit 1 which is just the view from above. Circuit 2 is a must so make sure you book months in advance to get circuit 2. We only booked this tour as we left it too late to get the tickets we wanted. Taxi pick up from accommodation in Cousco, short drive to Peru Rail station then a bus from there to Cousco station for a 3Hrs train journey to Aguas Calientes. The train was comfortable and the views great. Met at Aguas Calientes train station exit, rushed up the hill to reach the end of the bus line. All tickets send to me via WhatsApp. Was given the name of our tour guide Cesar who will meet us at Machu Picchu. On arrival at Machu Picchu another quide informed us that our guide will be 30 minutes late. This was a concern as I was worried we would miss our return train journey. Our guide did eventually arrive and made up for his later arrival by getting us onto circuit 2 which was so great as you get to see everything. Our guide had good English and explained fully about the history of Machu Picchu. Luck for us the weather was clear so we got some amazing photos. An hour later the rain arrived with mist and clouds, felt sorry for the people after us a you would not be able to see much. Make sure you bring good rain gear, you will have a long wait in the rain for your return bus journey. We just made it for our train journey back to Cousco. You were given no time in the itinerary to stop for lunch or explore Aguas Calientes.

Machu Picchu was great but Viator was not. - Machu Picchu was beautiful and I have absolutely enjoyed it. I did not like Viatot as couple days before the trip I received a note from a stranger asking to change my arrival as he could not get us tickets to Machu Picchu. It turned out the person was local travel agent. I called Viator but it did nothing, only the lip service and told me to work it out with the local travel agent. I would not recommend Viator. I had to incur additional cost to rebook my flight and hotel plus some cancellation fees for the hotel initially booked. Upon arrival to Cusco I could not find driver but after contacting the local travel agent we eventually met up. The day of your the guide did not show up in time and I had to call the agent again. I learnt that the operation was layers of outsourcing so once thing does not go smoothly it takes time and could get frustrating as they keep pointing fingers.
