Indescribable - Our family did the 4 day trek with Juve and wow.. Juve was such a perfect fit for our group as a guide. He allowed us to take our time and enjoy the sights along the way. He mentioned how passionate he is about flora and fauna and we were over the moon to hear that we would be learning about the local species and biodiversity along the trail. Quite a few photographers in our group so there was lots of stopping along the way to appreciate the wildlife and plants that were of particular interest to us. Juve's knowledge of birds in the area is outstanding and it was so wonderful to watch and witness the birds with him. The colours of the vegetation from the canopy level down to the mosses and lichen at ground level is absolutely incredible and we thoroughly enjoyed taking it all in. The porters are absolutely astounding and very accommodating. They were so lovely, congratulating us each evening when we arrived at camp. Our chef, Mario, made the most amazing dishes that we suggest he make a cookbook with all his recipes. We appreciate everyone on the team so so much. When arriving at Inca sites including machu picchu, Juve was very engaging when telling us about the history and culture of the Incas and his ancestors. I feel so privileged to have been able to learn about this important civilisation and era and to be able to ask questions about it all. So much beauty and tragedy in these historical events but very important to be educated on them. Overall words cant explain my experience, just so so amazing, once in a lifetime.

The adventure of a lifetime! Book your trip with Incatrekkers! - I could not recommend Incatrekkers more! We did the 5 day Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu and it was absolutely incredible. Our guides Juvenal and Cesar, and the entire team of porters and chefs made our experience unforgettable, and their depth of knowledge and passion showed every step of the way. In addition to the epic Inca sites, we were able to explore the incredible birding the Inca Trail has to offer- spotting many rare Peruvian birds with the expertise of Juvenal! If you want to experience the best of Machu Picchu and support a company run by indigenous Peruvians, Incatrekkers is for you!

Amazing amazing amazing!!! - Wow- a trip of a lifetime. We went with 11 people family and friends Remington age from 14-71. It was amazing experience. The natural beauty of the mountains, trees, birds and Inca ruins, and of course the Lamas. Our guides Juveh and Cesar where great. They were motivational, very knowledgeable, encouraging and fun. All 16 porters and 2 chefs were great, and very helpful. The food exceeded all of our expectations by far. On the last night our chef even made a birthday cake for one of our crew. I can’t say enough good things about the whole experience. Incatrekkers is a great company and we would highly recommend them. They are also a local company with roots in the community and tremendous pride in the history of the Inca land and history.

4 day inca trail to matchu picchu - Inka Trekers were amazing on our 4 day hike to Matchu Picchu, leading my family and I safely to Matchu Picchu. The food was amazing and so was all the support from our two great guides Juve and Ceasar. Having little to no hiking experience, the idea of doing a 4 day 3 night hike was not too welcoming, but Juve made sure we were all comfortable and safe as well as speaking passionatley about all of the culture we saw along the way! We also did our fair share of Birdwatching during our days on the trail which was an amazinh addition!

Absolutely fantastic experience, highly recommend!! - Our experience with Incatrekkers and specifically our guides Juvenal and Cesar was simply perfect. When I was searching for a tour company to take my family of 11 on a multi-day hike along the Classic Inca Trail, I reached out to several companies, most of which were the ones that first show up on Google and are the larger well known companies. However, from the very beginning, Incatrekkers stood out from the rest. The difference we would soon learn was unlike the other “large” companies, Incatrekkers was founded and run exclusively by native Peruvians. This difference was crucial. Juvenal and his team of porters were outstanding, they sincerely care about the mountain, about its history, and most importantly, they support the local communities. Instead of booking the trip and arranging all of the details with a customer service representative in the USA or Canada or Australia, we worked directly with Juvenal, our guide who would be alongside us on the mountain. Our group had a large age gap, 14 to 71, with one member recovering from a fractured knee not but one month prior to our hike. Juvenal and his team went above and beyond to make the experience exceptional and keep everyone healthy and safe. Our family has gone on several multi-day hikes around the world and there has not been a single tour group better than Incatrekkers. Seeing Machu Picchu was incredible, but what was more memorable was the 4-days leading up to it. The food was outstanding. We have friends who have done the same hike but with other companies, and their experience paled in comparison to ours. Simply put, there is no other tour company that I would go with other than Incatrekkers.

Amazing experience! Highly recommended! - We had an amazing trip with our guides, Juvenal and Cesar! We did the five day classic Machu pichu trail with Inca Trekkers and could not recommend them more highly. Cesar and Juvenal went above and beyond to make our trip fun and memorable. Everything was well thought out and organized, including the meals (which were delicious - ceviche, chicken skewers, pumpkin soup, and even a birthday cake) and the accommodations (they provided sleeping pads, and everything needed for a comfortable meal including chairs, tables, and plates). The guides and porters were kind, caring, and knowledgeable. The guides have a genuine interest in Incan culture (and bird watching!) and studied in university and attend conferences to stay up to date on the latest discoveries. Most importantly, Inca Trekkers is a locally owned business that supports and gives back to the community. Juvenal and Cesar really made our trip a special experience .

A trip of a lifetime! - A big thank you to Frank and the group for an amazing trip! There are so many things that Incatrekkers did to make our trip seamless and wonderful. We started our adventure with the Sacred Valley Tour, which I highly recommend. We saw a variety of places- salt mine, alpaca textiles, Inca sites- all were fascinating. Frank is an exceptional guide. He has the right blend of knowledge, ability, and also knows how to interact with the group- he engaged and was friendly and welcoming, but he also knew when to hang back and let our family have time together. He clearly knows his stuff and is very impressive. We had a variety of hiking abilities (me being the slowest and most out of shape) and he never once made me feel bad or rushed to get to the next place. We had hikers aged 11 to 60, and Frank reached each of us and supported each of us. He had an amazing ability to give accurate timing based on your pace and never doubt what Frank says- he never once steered us wrong (I.e. start the hike in a light jacket, you won’t need your heavy jacket). The porters and the chef, Gabino, were truly amazing. They were wonderful. Friendly, encouraging, kind, hard working, gracious- wow! I don’t know how the porters did what they did, but they got us to each stop and set everything up. Our accommodations were very comfortable. I’m not one who enjoys sleeping on the ground- but the sleeping pads were surprisingly comfortable and I didn’t wake up sore one morning. We loved the camp chairs that they carried for us- super comfortable and welcome after a long hike. We were very appreciative of the portable toilet that was set up for us at lunches and camp sites. Now, the food. Just wow!!! Every meal was delicious and there was both an abundance and a variety of food. From happy hour popcorn, to appetizers, to the five dishes as every lunch and dinner- nothing was repeated and everything was scrumptious. What Gabino does in a small make-shift camp kitchen is just amazing. There were also plenty of snacks- we were never hungry. Not to mention, we had a table with a table cloth and were served food on silver platters. We were totally spoiled being woken up each morning with tea and coffee service at our tent. This was quite the experience. Incatrekkers sure spoiled us, but were also experts in everything they did for us. We can’t recommend Incatrekkers more. We had a wonderful time. Our entire experience with Incatrekkers was positive and phenomenal. Thank you for a trip of a lifetime.

Great 5-Day Tour to Machu Picchu - We booked the 5-day hike to Machu Picchu. Even the communication before the trip was great. Juvenal has always answered our questions / concerns quickly and competently. At the briefing 2 days before the hike we learned that we are alone with the guide. It was very accommodating. We also learned that we actually only hike for 4 days, the 5th day. Day is then for visiting Machu Picchu. So we have seen the imposing structure twice. This was then very accommodating to us, so the Machu Picchu was in the fog on our arrival on day 4. On 5. On the day we had the nicest weather. Our guide, Frank, was very nice and gave us a lot of information. The whole team (Porters and Koch) are doing an incredible job. Of particular note is the cook, we ate very well every day. Very diverse and always more than enough. Due to the fact that only a limited number of people are allowed to hike on the trail, it is not overrun and that is nice. We would book again at any time with Inkatrekker. It was great.

Unforgettable trip - We booked the 4 day / 3 night tour. Surprisingly, we learned at the briefing that we have the tour to ourselves. The experience was incredible. We had a great guide with Frank and were superbly catered for by Mario. You can concentrate completely on the experience and is super supported by everyone thank you. Especially the Porters. Clear recommendation!
