An amazing experience…. - We went on the Inca Jungle Trail. Very well organised. Good communication throughout from Arturo. Our guide, John, looked after us well and was knowledgeable about the trails we were walking. He was friendly, caring and professional. Steven our Machu Picchu guide was so knowledgeable and made me want to find out more about the Inca and wider Peruvian history. Biking was so much fun. Bikes were well maintained and full safety gear provided. First day of hiking was hard but such an achievement to complete. Amazing views, narrow paths, sheer drops but I felt safe under John's guidance. We got to make our own coffee from bean to cup in the middle of the jungle the traditional way. The thermal springs at Cocolmayo were a lovely relaxing way to finish the day. We walked up to Machu Picchu and back, rather than taking the bus, so decided to stay an extra night in Aguas Calientes (otherwise we would have had to walk another 11km to the bus) - Arturo was able to change the day of our bus return to Cusco with no problem. Accommodation was good. Food was plentiful and nourishing. For extra money on this tour you can raft, zip line, take the bus to Machu Picchu, get the train back to Cusco etc - so it can cater for all needs. Take small change for tips along the way. I would thoroughly recommend Reserv Cusco

The best experience of my life - This is my first comment on the services received. I am not to comment, but the Service received at RESEV CUSCO deserves the best rating. We had a very experienced guide, the accommodation was very suitable and we made beautiful trails. In short, an unforgettable experience. Thank you for the unforgettable experience.

Inca jungle trail excursion not to be missed; - Wonderful adventure in nature. Experience not to be missed if you go to Peru. 4 incredible days. However, you must carry your bags so travel light and if you book several months in advance ask for line 1 for Machu Picchu because it does not offer the choice of line and line 1 is the panoramic view but you must book at least 5 months in advance. Our guide Franchesco was great, friendly and always attentive to our needs. Franchesco takes care of everything during the 4 days which is very pleasant. It was an unforgettable experience with great encounters and friendships. If you have the chance to add rafting and zip line, it is really worth it.

Must-do adventure - This is a must-do when coming to Peru', it's a preparation to the arrival to Machu Pichu but also a deep connection with nature and with your wild spirit. This trail is particularly amazing because we did a lot of adventurous activities: trek in beautiful nature, preparing our own coffee, eating fruits out of the trees, rafting, ziplane, mountain bike. It was just amazing and very well organized!

Poor planning affecting rest of the trip - I wish I can recommend this travel agency but we were disappointed in multiple ways. FYI, all travel agencies basically do the same in Peru, we ran into other groups at the same restaurants where the tour takes you, the same activity locations, in fact, sometimes they merge us for activities even if they are different companies. So it feels like this is not only the issue with this company. The other groups appeared to have the same issues. 1st issue: the activity advertises that entry ticket to Machu Picchu included. Well, yes, but they buy the ticket the day you arrive to Machu Picchu. So you run the risk of no tickets left when you arrive. Also, last minute tickets can only be bought in person with a passport, so no one can buy your ticket on your behalf, not even the company. Our issue was that on day 2 out of a 4 day trekking tour, one of the fellow trekkers saw on TikTok that the ticket office was 3 days ahead on tickets, so if we arrived on Sunday, we would get a ticket till Tuesday or Wednesday. This was going to mess up our trip plans. We then asked the guide if we could shorten the trekking/adventures so we could get a ticket ASAP, after all, we all are there for Machu Picchu. The guide was very nice and flexible and we trekked for over 20 km in one day (the last 2 hours were in the middle of the dark jungle where we used our cellphone lamp), we arrived to Aguas Calientes on Friday and were able to secure tickets for Monday (3 days later). The issue now was that we were stuck in Aguas Calientes for 3 days and there’s nothing else to do in that town besides see Machu Picchu and a butterfly sanctuary (the butterfly visit takes like 1 hour max). This triggered extra hotel expenses for us, meals, lost hotel nights at cuzco. 2nd issue: the activity says that it includes transportation back to Cuzco. Yes, but you must catch it at Hidroelectrica which is about 8km away from Aguascalientes and it must be before 2:30pm, otherwise you are on your own. Let me clarify that if you decide to hike up to Machu Picchu, it’s about 4km of stairs one way, plus the tour around the historic site + walking to Hidroelectrica for about 8km, you are talking about walking ~15 km to catch the provided transportation! The other option was for us to just take a train and bus to Cuzco but on our own pocket. Well, because we found this out once we were in Aguas Calientes, the cheapest train ticket was $160 per person! I asked the agency if we would get reimbursed a percentage since we were not using their transportation (let me repeat, about 8km away from Machu Picchu) and they said no. After all, the tour was $415 USD, plus an extra night hotel $42 USD, plus $160 train ticket, totals $617. That’s over $200 per person extra, all because they were not clear about the logistics. I now understand that they cannot buy the tickets until you get there in person. But please disclose that ahead of time! I understand vehicles cannot enter/leave Aguas Calientes and one has to walk to Hidroelectrica about 8km, but please disclose that ahead of time! Should I known these facts, I would have not done this activity. I have traveled to other countries, and agencies usually have a way to get their own tickets for their clients, in fact I was once unable to get tickets for the Alhambra (Granada, Spain) and a tour company had tickets if I bought a tour with them. When I bought this package and it said tickets were included I thought I did not need to worry about getting tickets for the programmed day, but it appears that the agency was taking their chances at buying tickets right there and then. Again, if the agency cannot buy the tickets ahead of time because of Peru’s policy, that’s fine. Just disclose it ASAP so the traveler can make an informed decision. If the agency can only provide transportation from Hidroelectrica (8km walking distance from Machu Picchu), disclose it ASAP so the traveler can make an informed decision! I must say that Percy (our guide) was amazing, he was very knowledgeable, friendly, and flexible. We understand that the poor tour guide was caught in the middle of this mess and was trying his best to help us.
