Highlights
  • F2RH+GX Cusco - Prior experience with horses isn’t necessary, just a passion for these majestic and beautiful creatures.

Enchanting Encounter, Intimate groups (Maximum of 04 individuals, contact for larger parties).

We’ll collect you from your airbnb or hotel, and the initial phase is to acquaint yourself with our horses, bond with them, and grasp the fundamental commands to steer them on our journey, aiming for unity with your steed.

Our horseback adventure will lead you through the enigmatic and secluded spots of the city, such as Inkilltambo (which recent studies suggest may have been an oracle during the Inca era), The Temple of the Moon, or Temple of Fertility, sites that were either populated by the Incas or served as significant spiritual hubs, like the revered Huaca of Amaru Wasi, where ancient ceremonies were conducted in honor of mother earth.
We’ll delve into the Andean cosmology, the symbiosis between nature and humanity, and the tenets of Andean mutual exchange.

Please note that there will be brief strolls to acquaint you with the Huacas (Inca temples) and the aura of mystique they hold (as our horses are not permitted in these conservation areas).
Upon concluding our journey, I will escort you back to your lodging.

What's Included
  • Private transportation
  • Bottled water
Additional Information

Love for nature, horses, culture and Andean mysticism are the words that best describe this experience.

Our Tour will take place in part of the Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park, with the main visit to the Inkilltambo Archaeological Center, and huacas or religious-ceremonial centers from the time of the Incas such as Chuspiyoq, Amaru Wasi (the house of the serpent ), and the Temple of the Moon. Part of the Inca Trail to Antisuyo will also be visited on the route.

Here I will show you many of the basic concepts of our culture, such as reciprocity, respect and syncretism with nature for which I will teach you the use of ritual elements of local use.

Feel free to send me a message if you have doubts o questions about the experience, we are always here to help.

Horseback riding through history - We had a wonderful experience doing this tour with Arnold. He is a very attentive guide, and very knowledgeable of Inca culture. The locations that you visit well not remote, are very interesting and you will not run into a lot of crowds. Highly recommended.

Great time with insightful guide! - We had a great time with Arnold, exploring the Cusco countryside and archaeological sites on horseback! My sister and I didn't have a lot of experience riding horses, but Arnold made sure we felt safe and comfortable, and the horses we rode were calm and well-trained. Arnold's insight on the anthropological and spiritual importance of the sites we visited was fascinating and made the experience truly worthwhile. We 100% recommend doing this as a unique way to see new parts of Cusco! Thanks, Arnold and assistant Franco!

A surprisingly spiritual experience! - This was such a great experience! Our guide was so attentive and made sure we were each paired with a horse whose personality best suited our riding abilities and preferences. The surroundings were gorgeous and the four ruins had wonderful histories, which our guide shared with us. There were several ver spiritual moments at these sacred temples that were just amazing. Thanks for the great experience!

Amazing horse riding and historic experience. - Everything was perfect! Arnold was an amazing guide who was clearly very passionate about sharing the local history and culture. Him and Frankie were very caring and ensured we were always comfortable on the horses (who were all amazingly well behaved), especially as first time riders. It was a truly amazing experience in a small group and would recommend to everyone!

Gentle, relaxing and informative - Just the most awesome of experiences in Cusco. Arnold, his assistant Franco and his gentle horses ensured we had the most sublime and informative experience in the stunning Plains of Cusco. So very glad we didn't miss this. Every review was glowing and all of it is true. Very relaxing exploration of 4 archaeological sites on horseback in beautiful surrounds. A most memorable afternoon. Wowza!

Horseback riding and Incan ruins? Check! - The reason I came to Cusco was to go to Machu Picchu. Unfortunately, due to protests, my trip was canceled. I could have cut my vacation short, but I decided to stay and see what else the surrounding areas offered. I am so glad I did! I found this amazing tour, lead by Arnold! No matter what level of riding you are comfortable with, he will have a horse that meets your needs. He helps you choose an animal and shows you how to safely mount and dismount, along with giving them directions to go left, right, stop, etc. He has small groups, and that is very much appreciated. We rode to 4 different ruins and heard lots of Incan history. He was very patient with me, as I am not the fastest walker, and made sure to find either a rock or a small hill so I could stand on and get on my horse, so as not to injure myself or Santiago, my beautiful boy! What a great day and I probably wouldn't have done this if Machu Picchu had been open so you know what? I'm glad that it wasn't! I thoroughly enjoyed myself with Arnold and the other two guests and all the information he relayed! Even if MP is open and on your list to do when you visit, you MUST do this tour, as well! It was amazing! Thank you Arnold and gracias por el tamale tambien!
