Highlights
  • Plaza Regocijo (Kusipata) - Begin your historical Cusco adventure at Plaza Regocijo, situated at an impressive altitude of 3,400 meters, making it one of the highest plazas globally. What a way to start your day on top of the world!
  • Mercado Central de San Pedro - Your first stop is the San Pedro market. Here, you’ll delve into the market’s history while navigating through aisles of local produce, vibrant fabrics, flower vendors, shaman stalls, and bustling juice makers, all with your English-speaking guide. You’ll have the chance to practice a few local phrases and pick up some snacks for later. Get ready for some lively local interactions!
  • Q’enqo - Leaving behind the unforgettable aromas and tastes of the Cusco market, we’ll travel by private transport to explore the Inca ruins just outside Cusco. Our first stop on the ruins trail is Q’enqo, a significant Inca ceremonial and ritual site. After exploring Q’enqo, we’ll take a short, 15-minute scenic walk to the Cristo Blanco (White Christ) statue, where we’ll enjoy a delightful picnic of Peruvian snacks while taking in the stunning views.
  • Sacsayhuaman - Next, we’ll visit the awe-inspiring fortress of Sacsayhuaman. Located at an altitude of 3,700 meters and just three kilometers from Cusco, this fortress features walls up to 400 meters long, constructed from boulders weighing between 128 and 200 tonnes. The Inty Raymi (Festival of the Sun) is celebrated annually at these ruins, which overlook the city of Cusco.
  • Statue of Christ - This statue was a gift from Arabic Palestinians who visited Cusco after World War II, as a token of gratitude for the city’s hospitality. To conclude the tour, we’ll walk back to Cusco, a journey of about half an hour. We’ll descend through Inca streets, learning stories and legends of the Inca Empire along the way. We’ll wander through the bohemian San Blas area before arriving at Plaza de Armas, Cusco’s main square, where your tour will end.
  • Manos De La Comunidad - Here, you can see llamas, alpacas, huanacos, and vicuñas, all with authentic baby alpaca wool.

Lesser Known but the BEST - We are very happy with this tour and they way it was conducted. Jose our guide was very nice and friendly and shared a lot of information. We walked to many places before hoppin into a private vehicle to see the ruins off the city. We learnt a lot about the culture of Incas and how the colonism changed everything. This is a very nice trip and we recommend this as a good introduction trip.

Super Informative - Highly recommended to do this tour as you would reach Cusco and would be on your rest time to acclimatise. The tour is very informative and helpful. Jose is a remarkable guide with a vast knowledge on different parts of the city and its historic importance which was very helpful in the next few days as we sauntered through the cobble stoned streets of Cusco.
