Exceeded our expectations in every possible way! - Highly recommended for everyone! Mariano was an amazing guide! He taught us a ton about the local flora and fauna, and were stunned by the scenery! The hike goes through a gorgeous canyon in a lush forest. The trip was way more epic than we anticipated (climbing, swimming and jumping in the river and waterfall along with hiking) and with different routes to the waterfall, the tour is accessible and exhilarating for people of any hiking level. Afterwards, we took the option to have a fantastic lunch (local cuisine, a Casado plate and would recommend the garlic mahi) afterward in a local restaurant for only $10 extra. Berny the owner was very friendly, helpful, and professional and runs a fantastic business.

Exhilarating - We had the BEST time!! From the courtesy and hospitality of Berny and his team upon our arrival to the completion of the hike. Mariano is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and patient. He made sure to set the pace for all of us to truly taken in the beauty of the wildlife and savor the moments. He was wonderful! He made us a mango treat prior to leaving the waterfall site and Berny gave us fresh pineapple when we arrived back at the office. I highly recommend this tour. You will NOT be disappointed 🌞❤️

A must see - Bernie, the owner and Nate our tour guide were so friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The hike was incredible- wildlife, blue water and greenery. La Leona did not disappoint, the mineral rich water does not have fish but is the most beautiful blue that photos don’t accurately capture.

Best trip ever! - The best tour I have ever experienced! Please request Ronnie as your guide. He was absolutely fantastic. We couldn't have asked for a better guy to guide us. And he's an excellent photographer on top of it. He was so knowledgeable about all the plants and wildlife. Highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic adventure hike! - One of our favorite Costa Rica tours. We have been all over Costa Rica and this one is at the top of the list. Our guide was very knowledgeable and the entire hike was gorgeous and fun.

Getting in my steps Costa Rican Style - The owner (Bernie) and his staff were great. Bernie gave us a brief history of how his tour guide came to be and was really appreciative of us choosing local. Our tour guide ( Derrick) was a young local who was full of knowledge and humour. His monkey call was entertaining. He taught us about the local flora and fauna. Bernie offers a great experience due to the fact you’re not in a big group. I would highly recommend using this tour company over the commercialized tours any day. When My call to return to Costa Rica arrives; I will go see Bernie and Derrick about an outdoor adventure.

Awesome GUIDE - Bernie and Ronny were the absolute best. We loved that we were in a group with just our family and not crowded in with a bunch of strangers. We will be back and wish our friends the best until we meet again! Great excursion!!!!

Mariano made our day!!! - Mariano was the absolute best tour guide!! We were traveling with my mom and he was incredibly patient and kind and helped her every step of the way. He stopped many times to show us great spots to jump into the river and was so fun! Bernie was also great getting us to and from the excursion and had treats waiting for us at the end! 10 stars!
