Panda experience - It was a nice cloudy day. Lovely to walk around and see the Pandas and the beautiful birds. Also loved the Kangartoos.

Don’t Miss this Up Close Kangaroo and Koala Encounter + Wildlife Hospital Sanctuary! - The wildlife rescue and hospital work is unbelievable, with the ranger talks, the late afternoon huge bird show and tribal communication dance at 3pm highlights not to miss. I recommend checking the park schedule BEFORE you plan your arrival so you don’t miss the hospital talk, which is at the furthest point from the entry and takes 15+ minutes walk. Incredible and unforgettable experience.

Great experience - I did the kola encounter and it was great. I learned a lot and was able to hold a kola. They had a nice sanctuary and saw a lot of different animals. The kangaroos were a surprise. They are free roaming but have a space they can got too to be left alone. The animals look very well care for.

Excellent day - The place is beautiful. The animals seem very happy. We took pictures with the koalas, it’s just an unforgettable experience. To be done without any hesitation.

A nice day out - We had a very nice day out. We got to feed and pat the kangaroos and emus which was really fun and unique. One of the men working in the kangaroo section was very knowledgeable and gave us some really fun facts about them. There is one really beautiful spot in the park as shown in my photos, it felt like being in a rainforest. There is a hop on - hop off train that you can take to get around the park which is very helpful. Just sure to take a hat and sunscreen with you even if it’s overcast as the sun is strong and the walkways aren’t covered.

One of the best parks in Australia - This park was one of the best ones in Australia! Lots of healthy-looking animals, interesting talks and shows. Our favourite part was Lost Valley, it was like walking into Jurassic world, very nice set up, we got told the lemurs and the birds was unusually quiet at the point we went there due to storm building up but we stayed around for the "Lost Valley talk" and got to see heaps of Lemurs later on, then we went on the second talk next door "rainforest talk" in the same area where we learnt heaps about the red panda etc. It was fantastic to see the tree kangaroo as well, and of course lots of koalas. We also noticed that most of park is shaded or partly shaded, which was great! We spent a a full day at this park, and we noticed it was a train going throughout the park however we decided to walk instead. Other good stuff, clean, well-maintained park, friendly staff especially the volunteers, conservation-focus, great food, natural-style looking park.

Currumbin Bird Park - Bird and Pelican Show were terrific. Lovely park Kids enjoyed dinosaurs and fossicking their bones Great to see koalas feeding and climbing trees. Downside was the food at streets cafe near Blinkety Bill show. Very expensive chips and chicken bites terrible overcooked in old oil certainly wouldn’t recommend eating there.

Hard to get around = school groups crowding amenities - Bird Show Worth a look - Difficult to get around when you have mobility issues. Despite there being a train to help, I found that filled up super quickly - which wasn't helped by an entire school group of 20+ getting on - leaving behind many disgruntled customers who had been waiting. It also meant I (and others) missed a lot of connections for things, like shows. When you only have 1 day there because you are visiting the area, this is disappointing. I would suggest that they have a separate train specifically for the school groups that is apart from the regular customers. It seems ridiculous to me to take up that many places for an entire school group without prior arrangements made for the consideration of others paying to be there for a limited time. I also wasn't impressed that the train stopped at 1pm through to 3pm, (I understand why, for the sake of the birds) but again that train was filled at 1PM, with no alternative or extra, and I was at the far most station, meaning a walk back took a very long, arduous time. The volunteers do an amazing job. Helping with the mini train and visitor info and such, wonderful people - but I can't help but feel -perhaps- these older folks are being taken advantage of. It seemed like a lot of walking for very little animal content. Highly recommend the Bird Show, but not much else.

Not a great place for animals to live, great place to siphon your money. - It seems other reviews scoring 3 or higher are mostly reviews of the extra priced tours and shows - half of which are nothing to do with the animals living there. This is a review of the general entry itself, which would be the experience you may get for your entry fee. Most of the animals during the day seem bored and didn’t have much to do of what they’d usually do in the wild. Some of them seemed quite apathetic and seemed accepting of the realisation that they are just waiting to die at this place. There are a lot of food eateries for you to sit down and consume - unsure why every 70 metres there is somewhere you can buy food; Is the park for humans to view animals or humans to spend money on their waistline? Surprised that something billed as ‘National Trust of Australia’ or something is a bit of land where planes fly over constantly, a bit of a wallet siphon, and the animals are sad to live in such small enclosures without natural stimuli. The Free Flight bird show is like Taronga Zoo’s, but shorter in length and with fewer animals exhibited or given a spotlight. You have to exit through the giftshop - where many items are identical to any other ‘animal park’ gift shop (hint: buy these things online elsewhere really for less money) - so ‘ho hum; here we go again’ to the park for this. ..and as a hint, pack your own food as the menu dollar amounts are 25% higher than normally.

Insanely overpriced - We visited today for the first time. We have frequented many zoos/wildlife sanctuaries around Australia and around the world so thought time to check this out as we had heard good things. The cost for 1 adult and 1 child plus 1 meet for an animal was a whopping $178, however I had high hopes it would be worth it. When we arrived firstly, they have a line for national trust members and a line for everyone else. No line for prepaid members. No one ever entered the trust member line as it isn’t popular. We waited 45 mins in a line with others buying tickets even though we had prepaid. When I got to the front it then took 10+ mins for the staff member to just scan my ticket and give me a map. No urgency at all. When we entered the park, I was shocked at how far everything was and difficult to navigate. There were 2 enclosures that weren’t where they said they were on the map and we had to search high and low for them as no staff members around to assist and no signage for relocation (found them near the animal hospital). We also noticed the train- however no timetable, no way to know how often it runs etc. Luck of the draw I guess to line up and potentially it never comes. We weren’t even sure if it was up and running as no one told us anything about it at entry - couldn’t find any info on it online on their website or app either. The animals are nice but the only enclosures that were actually worth it were the koalas, kangaroos and wallabies. The rest were overgrown enclosures where you couldn’t see the animals, or there was only 1 in there so hard to spot. Also with how spread out and so much unkept bush land in between my kid got over trying to search for the next enclosure. The cherry on top was the goat meet I booked and paid $60 for. When I arrived I was told I can’t take any photos, photos aren’t included in the price and if I wanted any photos I’d have to pay their photographer. When I asked why I can’t take a photo myself, I was responded with “it’s policy”, but no explanation. The staff has phones in their pockets and radios on belt, so clearly not any safety issue with devices. This screamed money gouging to me, which was the theme of the park. They also had donation things around to tap your card and give them money, because apparently the $178 entry fee isn’t enough plus everything else they try to make you buy. Also there are hardly any shows at this location, the one we did make was just a fake Dinasoar puppet being held, followed by a person dressed in a koala suit dancing….. not the wildlife style shows you’d expect. Nice as a once off to take a kid, but after the goat experience and not even being able to take my own photo, I wouldn’t rerun and give more money to this park. Better of to go to Australia zoo where the tickets at least include a lot of extra experiences.
