Tour of a lifetime - This was a once in a life time tour we were taken on routes normal tourists cars would never go. On the day of this tour the Kirkstone Pass was closed for road repairs. So our tour driver MARK added a number of other routes to the tour. We went up a number of single track roads to areas with unique views of the Lakes and countryside around them. Mark gave us a running commentary of the areas we drove through, he was obviously passionate about the Lake District and knew la lot of history about it, he stopped a number of times to give us time to take memorable photos. I would highly recommend this tour company.

A lifetime of memories in a one day tour. - Fantastic scenery and a great mix of fellow sightseer's on the van. One of the joys of small group tours is getting to make new friends. Mountain Goat's guide/driver Patrick was, very knowledgeable and personable. As first time visitors to the lakes district the tour gave us a broad overview of the area. So beautiful! We will definitely be back to the region and look forward to booking our next tour with Viator/Mountain Goat.

A grand day out round the lake district - We were rather upset when our original trip was cancelled 4 days before we were due to go. We got a full refund immediately and were able to book a similar trip which went very well. We were very lucky to have a full day of cold clear sunny Lake district weather with some beautiful views and our driver, Geoff , was amazing very knowledgeable kind and patient would book this again.

Thank You, Tim - Tim Pryce was our tour guide. He is an amazing person - cheerful, helpful, kind and caring. He made every moment of our tour interesting and fun. Kept us all interested, happy and cheerful with his wit and and incredible knowledge of the places he took us to visit. Oh yes, and he recites poetry so beautifully :) Thank you, Tim, for making our Lake District visit so enjoyable :) Indira from Toronto, Canada

Excellent lakes tour! - Yesterday, I thoroughly enjoyed the full day tour around the lakes with Tim, our tour guide/driver. Tim was very knowledgeable and kept us informed of interesting points and stories during the course of the drive. He had an enthusiastic demeanour and his love of the beautiful surroundings shone through as someone who genuinely enjoys their job. As a solo traveller, Tim’s friendliness made me feel looked after and at ease. We had sufficient breaks for photos, refreshments and toilet stops. I have no hesitation in recommending this tour, as you will get to see and learn far more than touring in your own car. Many thanks Tim and Mountain Goat for a memorable day out!!

Excellent way to discover the Lake District - The most complete way to discover the Lake District in one day. Including a fantastically professional driver and host (Peter Fox) who will pleasantly take you through history and the present. Absolutely worth it!
