OUR MANATEE ADVENTURES LAST FOR 3 HOURS, THE LONGEST IN THE AREA
We are situated in Crystal River, home to the highest population of manatees globally. Each winter, around 600 manatees migrate to the springs of Crystal River. You will have the opportunity to swim and snorkel amongst the manatees, getting up close to these majestic creatures during your tour. Our tours are ideal for participants of all age groups. We supply the wetsuit, mask, and snorkel. This will be a unique adventure you’ll cherish forever.
Manatees, fascinating and rare creatures, reside along Florida’s Nature Coast. They spend a lot of their time relaxing and searching for seagrass in the Gulf of Mexico and saunter to our sparkling clear springs to stay warm during the winter.
Florida’s springs maintain a steady 72-degree temperature all year round - a fitting environment for manatees. Our experienced guides are unrivaled when it comes to tracking down these astounding creatures.

- We allow infants aboard but we don’t recommend children under 3 get in water. Fitting infants with wetsuits is challenging so they are not available. Not to worry we have ways to entertain the little ones aboard .

Great time! Worth it! - It is a great experience swimming with manatees plus treasure hunting. My boys loved. Dispite the weather, we had fun. It was a quite an amazing experience seeing manatees up close and to sum it up, my boys "found" their treasure under the the springs.
Our captains, Caleb & Al were knowledgeable, caring, flexible, and excellent communication. I would come back to get the tour again and recommend it to friends.

Great time among the manatees! - Captain Al & Caleb were amazing! They took us right to the manatees and were super respectful of the wildlife. They were great with my kids, helping them maneuver around the water without disturbing the manatees and preparing treasure chests for them to find. Loved that they sent a video of highlights the next day.

Wonderful adventure with family - Extremely knowledgeable guides who went the extra mile to show us the area. They were wonderful with our daughter and the treasure chest was a bonus she still talks about.

Great experience from start to finish - Great experience from start to finish. Literally from the time the phone call to book began I knew we picked the right place, personable, professional and a genuine passion for the service they are providing. I would highly recommend Captain Al and the services at Scallop Adventures.
Best part of Tour was the Treasure chest. The in water guide Sandy placed the little chests in the water with out or 2 girls knowing and helped them find them , the girls were so excited to open them . they were filled with coins and a gemstone. Great way to end the tour

Great time! - We would love to give a 5 ⭐ review; however, we haven't received our pictures/ videos from the tour.
Overall, we enjoyed our time despite the weather. Wish we could have received our pictures/ videos to show friends & family.
