So worth the cost and time! Trip highlight - Lots of fun and a laid back vibe! Took the half day snorkel trip and was taken to some awesome spots around St. John including the notorious St James Island. Knowledgeable friendly captain and our 2 twenty something’s loved it!

Best day of our trip! - Captain Sequoia and his crew gave us a memorable ride on his sailboat. He found the "Christmas winds," put up the sails and cut off the engine. We were truly sailing!! He customized the trip to what we wanted to do and see. We cruised around St. John, with Sequoia and Romany pointing out places of interest and telling us about the island before mooring at a snorkeling spot off Greater St. James Island. Our family of 4 (including 2 teenagers) thoroughly enjoyed it!

Avoid at all costs. - When getting groceries on St. John USVI there are things visitors should know. At Starfish Market the clerks consistently appear angry, abrupt, and entitled. They do not welcome visitors. They do not greet them with a hello or good afternoon, but if one of their friends or neighbors enters the store it's party time. This has been going on for years and it is a reflection of the management and the culture they have created. Try going to the Dolphin near the Westin for your groceries. You'll be glad you did.

NO REGARD FOR SAFETY - NO INSTRUCTION regarding emergency preparedness. No mention regarding the location of life jackets on the boat. No warning that we should not NOT BE SNORKELING due to the DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS around us. The Captain is gruff and unfriendly. Know that this boat is also his home. Very disappointed to waste the time and money. BUT so grateful that my daughter and I had the sense to get out of the water immediately after we jumped in. Do your research and find an operator that makes your family's safety a priority.
