Some Of The Worst Customer Service I've Received With A `Couldn't Care Less' Attitude - I booked this tour for Fri 28th June '24 with Apsaalooke Tours via TA/ Viator. I am travelling from the UK and having grown up watching films it's always been a childhood-to-adult aspiration to visit this memorable site and spend time with a Native American listening to the story of this great battle. One month after booking, I received an email from Viator cancelling the tour stating that private tours were not operating Fri, Sat and Sun due to construction of the new visitor centre this year/ during 2024. I wrote to US National Park Services who were really helpful and advised this was not the case and that Viator had been misinformed by Apsaalooke Tours. All credit to Stan McGee for his help! I wrote to the Apsaalooke Tours' Tourism Manager (Luella Brien) multiple times and eventually received a `couldn't care less' email stating "We are running a smaller crew this year due to construction logistics and are not able to offer as many private tours". Not sure what `construction logistics' means but the email was curt, impolite and, being entirely honest, portrayed Apsaalooke Tours in a really bad light. Not a word of apology for the inconvenience nor any suggestion/ advice to resolve. This has been a disappointing experience and has overshadowed my upcoming trip to Little Big Horn in June. I have written to US National Park Services suggesting they discuss this experience with Apsaalooke Tours, given how it reflects more broadly on the park as a whole. I had originally re-scheduled/ re-booked my private excursion for late PM on Thurs 27th June, but as I explained to Luella I am travelling over from Cody and current plans/ logistics create a risk of getting there on time. Also, I have read that it is better to have the tour and then explore the park independently, which will not be possible as I have travel on to Sheridan. On reflection, I cancelled the entire excursion over wider concerns around customer service/ quality of the tour, given the poor engagement with the Tourism Manager. I very rarely write a review of this kind and always try and address issues amicably, but the `couldn’t care less’ attitude demonstrated during my experience of trying to resolve this issue has forced pen to paper on this occasion! I am very disappointed …
