An original gift and a cool experience - Looking for an original gift for Father's Day, I came across "La Oleoteca de Córdoba" on Tripadvisor. I called, and simply by phone, Mari Carmen already infected me with the desire to go to the tasting. Both my husband, who was not at all expecting such a gift, as well as our 15-year-old daughter and I, were amazed by the amount of things he showed us (which we had no idea about), and, furthermore, by the passion with which he showed us. that counts them. The field, the olive harvest, the times, the process until it becomes oil... amazing. And now the "tasting moment", which from our ignorance was super cool and fun, but hey, we didn't do it so badly, right??? ;) We wish you the best in this business and everything related to it that comes, because in addition to understanding, you live it and transmit it. Only when you work on what really makes you happy can you do it this well. We will recommend this tasting to our friends when they travel to Córdoba, without a doubt. And you already know, Mari Carmen, that we are waiting for you in our land.

Passion for olive oil - Super surprising and educational olive oil tasting, given by a friendly, passionate olive oil expert. Her passion is contagious and we can't wait to get started with the different olive oil qualities we ordered. From now on, every meal deserves its own olive oil.

Engaging, informative, & fun experience! - My sister and I and my 10yo nephew did this experience in Cordoba on a day trip and loved it! Carmen Marie (sp?) was engaging, fun, and knowledgeable. The other people in the group provided a good dynamic, and we learned a ton about different types of olive oil, how to evaluate it, and identify tasting notes. I'd definitely recommend this!

Delicious and informative - Mari Carmen was incredibly kind and knowledgeable about olive oil. She gave us a presentation about olive oil (how it is made, the different classifications etc) and then we smelled and tasted a couple of olive oils. The selection of olive oils in the store was also very expansive. Mari Carmen guided us through the entire experience and was great at explaining everything to us in English. I would highly recommend this experience. Thank you Mari Carmen!!

Awesome, fun, experience everyone should have. - This was suprisingly fun and super informative! I'll never view extra virgin olive oil again. Maria was sooooo pleasant to be around. I really enjoyed my time with her learning about the olive oil making process, how to spot a good oil and the difference between the authentic oil and those in the stores. I am now an olive oil snob lol and need to find a way to fund my olive oil buys now.

Great fun - We both learned so much about olives and the olive industry. Tasting was great fun. Bringing home $100 of olive oil products. Instructor was fun, personable, and who knew one could get a MA and have a passion for olives!

A must do experience in Cordoba - Olive oil tasting with Mari is the highlight of our visit to Cordoba!! Such a fun and educational evening activity. Mari’s advanced degree in the growing and production of olive oil combined with the passion from growing up 3rd generation olive farmers makes this a most authentic experience. While the tasting is in her shop she does not pressure to buy but we couldn’t leave without a few bottles. We left with a much more appreciation and understanding of olive oil, a major agricultural and cultural product of Spain.
