Highlights
  • Patios de Cordoba - The Cordoba Patios Festival takes place every year in May during 2 weeks and is a long standing tradition in Córdoba. Private “Patios” translates to “courtyards” are decorated with hundred of colourful flowers and plants. During our guided tour, we will go inside 10 to 15 particular houses to visit the most beautiful “Patios” of this Festival.
  • Parroquia Santa Marina de Aguas Santas - Santa Marina is one of the so-called “Fernandinean Churches”, edificated in the City after Ferdinand III of Castile conquered it from the Moors in the 13th Century. The structure combines proto-gothic, Mudéjar and, to a lesser degree, late-Romanesque elements. Our meeting point is in the square in front of this church, if you come before our guided tour, maybe you can have a look inside if the church is open.
  • Iglesia de San Agustin - Church of St. Augustine, it´s construction started in 1328 in Gothic Style, we will stop a few minutes in San Agustin Square and will visit more patios of this area.
  • Iglesia de San Lorenzo - One of the most beautiful churches of the city, the church of San Lorenzo is one of the denominated fernandinas churches of Córdoba. This church was founded on an old mosque that replaced an older Visigothic church propably built between 1244 and 1300. We will see the outside of this church and visit some more particular patios of this area. After that and near this place, we will stop in a typical local tavern to have a D.O. Montilla-Moriles wine and a tapa.

Great tour of beautiful patios! - I would highly recommend this tour if visiting Cordoba for the festival de los patios! Whilst you can use a map to find the participating festivals yourself, the guide had the intel to take us to a variety of the best patios and gave us lots of interesting information if we needed to queue for a patio. The tour was in an area away from the Jewish quarter and so was much less busy than the Jewish quarter patios. We went on the tour on the final evening of the festival, which worked out well.

A lovely patio tour - Well organised, no queuing, great selection of Patios in an area that we would have otherwise missed. Our guide spoke excellent English & gave us lots of interesting information.

A beautiful local tradition - What a lovely introduction to this beautiful festival and tradition. Guide was great as she navigated the route to about 8 or 9 holes. If you are in cordoba during this festival, the tour is great.

Fun experience diminished by everything said twice on two languages - Natalia did a wonderful job and we saw some amazing patios. It would have been a much better experience if half of the tour had not been in in French. We signed up for an English speaking tour but got only half of the tour guide’s attention in English.

Recommend - It was very informative and Maria was an engaging guide with excellent English. The only issue I would raise was perhaps the group was a little too big. Still would recommend it.

Opportunity to see some of the best patios in the competition this year with a guide showing you the way - This tour took you round some of the most beautiful Patios in the city, particularly at this time at the start of May when the completion takes place. The evening tour was fairly busy in the streets and there was understandably a little queuing to get in to some of the patios. The tour guide was Spanish and the tour was for English speaking visitors. His English skills were ok but he did not go out of his way to give you lots of information, which was quite possible as we waited to get in to the patios. It was more like he was just doing his job and this was not his passion. But the beautiful patios made up for this weakness. So if you go ask lots of questions and keep close to the guide! Our other tour with Oway Tours the guide had more passion to tell you about his home city.

Bookings for the patios - The patios were beautiful but the booking procedure not good at all. We had booked 4 places online but instead of being granted immediate entry to the patios we had to stay in a long queue innthe heat in order to get tickets before being granted entry. What is the point of making an on line booking if you then have to stand in a queue for tickets?
