With many years of experience in the field, Glen and his surfing instructors are more than ready to welcome and help you on growing and using the best skills to experience and ride the waves of Manuel Antonio at Espadilla Norte Beach.
An instructor will tech you the best tactics, poses and tips. Water safety is our priority, all levels are welcome to enjoy a wonderful and uplifting lifetime experience in the water for 2 hours. Then free use of your surfboard for you to keep practicing as long you want for the day.
We offer customize star times up on request if possible, if no one of our star times works for you.

Lots of fun - Had so much fun! Felt safe in the water and had great tips from our instructor. Only advice : don’t skip the sunscreen!! The sun is harsh on the water

Old dog learns new trick! - Glenn and his staff are patient and experienced. In no time at all they had my friend up and surfing. I was even able to stand up once and I have no balance and was shocked they successfully got me to surf one successful run. Highly recommend them!!

High recommended by female solo traveller - Amazing experience and very safe. They have a tent where Glen and his employees will watch your things (so feel free to bring your phones & cameras for when you are ready) and they also provided a water and a snack. It was very first time surfing and I got up every single time thanks to Glen! I wanted to go back every day after I learned, but unfortunately got sick. Glen also rents surf boards and they take Visa. For reference, I am a female solo traveller and appreciated Glen and his team so much for picking me up from my hostel, being kind and patient, and most of all giving me the experience of a lifetime!

Highly recommend, excellent teacher - Pickup from our hotel was very helpful, as parking near the beach was very crowded. We had seen it the day prior. This event is hosted by a husband and wife. Wife watches your belongings while you’re in the water. Husband gave us instructions and had us practice on a surf board on land before moving to the water. We were given instructions of where to be in the water, when to paddle, and when to stand up on the board. He even picked out the waves that were best for us. We had a break halfway through where they provided fresh pineapple and water for us. They have a tent that provides shade on the beach, which was a blessing. The afternoon sun was intense. This was one of the highlights of my whole trip, and I’m glad I had this experience. Highly recommend!

Glen Castro surf lessons - fantastic! - Glen Castro was an amazing instructor. He took me, my husband and 2 teenage girls on a 2 hour surf lesson on manuel Antonio beach and we had a fantastic experience. His instructions were really clear and as we speak very little Spanish, we were reliant on his excellent English. I can’t rate him highly enough, we all stood up and caught plenty of waves, thanks to his tuition. Thanks glen!

Surfing las olas - Great friendly experience. Glen picked me up from my hotel and I joined three others on the this lesson. Cory gave us some instructions on the beach and him and Leandro stayed with us in the water. Everyone in our group were catching waves in no time at all.
We finished up with a bottle of water and some fresh pineapple 🍍
They allow you to come back and borrow a board for free after the lesson too which is a nice touch.
Tip : apply suncream generously to the top of your feet and back of legs.

Success for all! - We had an amazing time with Cory in our lessons. He was very informative, patient and kind. Fruit that Glen provided was sweet and delicious. They set up the rest of our family who weren’t surfing right up at the shore with umbrellas for just $5 a chair! The only gripe I have is how sunburned everyone got on the back of our legs, which could be aided by the instructors pushing the importance of reapplying half way through the lesson. Still a 5 star experience!

Awesome experience, wonderful instructor - Glenn was our instructor for surfing and he and his wife Angelina went above and beyond with fantastic and warm, generous customer service. We returned to the beach where we had surf lessons and they greeted us warmly each time we returned. Their customer service and kindness is top notch!! Thank you Glenn and Angelina for making our trip so wonderful.
