We meet at the PARKING right next to the restaurant “El Vaquero”, look for the purple flag that says “La Muda” or ask the parking guy/girl for “La Muda Surf”. If you for whatever reason have trouble finding us, you can ask for La Muda Surf, Carlos Brown, Isabella Carrera and Jeison Brown.

Excellent Experience - The staff were very patient and my friend and I ended up with a 1 to 1 lesson with their staff members as it was only two of us. Definitely recommend this excursion for newbies as even I was able to stand and surf by the end of the lesson. Highly recommend.

Amazing first time surfing! - I had a great time! I went solo and was nervous at first, but I ended up standing up on my first try! I got photos as well! Great first surf.

Great time, awesome people - Awesome time surfing, the lessons were very helpful. My wife and i both stood up within 20 minutes of getting in the water! Carlos gave us a lesson before we got in the water and also took some great photos of us. Caleb was our instructor once we got in the water and he was very knowledgeable. He was able to tell which waves were good to ride and which to skip before I could even see the wave coming. 10/10 recommend!

Best surfing lesson ever! - This was the best surfing lesson I’ve ever had. Bryan, Chino and the crew were awesome and super attentive and helpful!! They give you a quick lesson on land but you’re mostly in the water and they’re out there with you the whole time helping you with your form and making sure you’re comfortable on the waves. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely Amazing Surf Class in Tamarindo! - I had such a great experience with this surf class in Costa Rica. The instructors were super knowledgeable, patient, and fun. They made me feel comfortable and confident before even heading to the water even though I was a complete beginner. The energy was positive and relaxed, but they still pushed me just enough to improve each time I caught a wave. The location is stunning, and everything felt really safe and well organized. I left feeling more confident on the board and genuinely inspired to keep surfing. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Tamarindo!

Best experience - It was the best experience watching my children learn how to surf. The instructors were very knowledgeable, patient and friendly. I would definitely recommend La Muda Surf School to anyone wishing to learn how to surf In Tamarindo.

An Amazing Experience — Recommend to Everyone - I had a phenomenal time, and I highly recommend to everyone who wants to surf, especially to those who think they will never be able to surf. The instructors were fun, incredibly helpful, and encouraging! An amazing experience overall!
