Additional Information

If your goal is to land a prize-winning Pike, Lough Corrib should be at the top of your list! Lough Corrib’s Pike fishing is globally recognized and commended. The renowned book by Fred Buller, “The Doomsday Book of Mammoth Pike”, credits Lough Corrib, Ireland’s largest lake, for a significant number of sizable pike catches.
Anglers in pursuit of the prized pike in Lough Corrib begin from mid-July to mid-December. Your Francophone Ghillie/guide possesses invaluable knowledge for fishing in the Corrib.
Several fishing techniques are employed to catch pike. These include trolling - moving the boat at a slow pace while a bat/lure fishes behind the boat, spinning - fishing from a static boat with baits/lures, and dead-Baiting - fishing with a deceased natural bait (typically Perch, Roach, Herring Eel) using a float. The latter is most effective when the wind is strong enough to cause the boat to drift.
