Best part of our visit to Durham - We had wonderful experience on our Walkabout Durham tour! We brought my 74 year old mom with us, and she was able to complete the whole walking tour. There are some gentle slopes, and steps on this tour, so be aware this is not wheelchair friendly. The pace of the tour was great, with perfectly placed information stops along the way so you don’t get tired out. Peter the tour guide was well informed and interesting, gave great recommendations for where to eat, and the tour was a highlight of our trip to Durham!

. Outstanding restaurant in Durham city - Don't be put off when you first see this restaurant that is most modest, what you will get will more than compensate for this initial surprise. It is managed by a young staff all of whom seem to embody enthusiasm professional resulting in an excellent result. Their approaches to present what I would describe as English type tapas in an excellent and unique way. Furthermore, the selection and the taste was outstanding. For certain I would return to this restaurant. Sadly I was disappointed with my home area after a lapse of many decades

History Walks in Durham May 2025 - Had a wonderful time on this historical walk of Durham. Peter definitely knew his stuff, was very knowledgeable, friendly and the weather was spectacular. Worth doing if you only have a night to spend in Durham (Saturday at 2pm-3.30pm). Would have been even better if it included the cathedral tower!
