Magical! Don’t be afraid of poor weather - Absolutely incredible tour despite extremely windy and wet weather. I very nearly canceled as the weather looked rough due to the hurricane. I ended up going anyway and I’m so glad I did!
The horses were absolutely bombproof and barely phased by the extreme wind and rain. There’s only a small section of the trail exposed to the wind, once you get into the forest it’s nice and calm. It’s an out and back trail though, so you do “the windy section” twice. The forest was beautiful and there were mushrooms and ferns everywhere. It was muddy from rain all week, but the horses had no issues and were surefooted. Got to see a rainbow over the pastures for an idyllic shot. Shout out to “Chocolate” for being an excellent steed!
If you’re expecting to ride in wet weather I recommend a proper raincoat as well as water resistant pants and gloves. Tighter fitting pants are best to fit into the provided wellies. Experienced riders don’t feel like you need to bring your breeches, boots, or any other gear. I did fine in jeans and the provided boots/helmet. We kept to a walk the whole ride.
The driving tour afterward was beautiful with several pull offs for scenic pics. Delicious lunch at Poppie’s in Enniskerry. The Toblerone cake was incredible. Loved getting out to stretch my legs for a ~60 minute easy hike at Glendalough. I walked the green road to Upper Lake and then up to the Poulanass Waterfall then back. The monastic village is charming and beautiful with the moody weather.
Definitely one of my favorite tours ever! Shout out to Derek for being a fantastic guide and driver.

Lovely and efficient trip - Enjoyed a scenic horseback ride in the forest and fields. Saw lots of cows, sheep and other horses. The horse staff was very friendly and really explained in detail on how to ride a horse. I appreciated their teachings and it felt like a proper class.
Derrick was our tour guide and he was very nice. He was very informative and efficient. Our lunch was a little short but that's how tours are sometimes so I think the negative reviewers should book a private tour if they want to go at their own pace.
Derrick provided great recommendations and we made it back to Dublin by 5pm. Perfect timing before the dinner crowd.

Fantastic tour!! - I went on a guided horseback riding tour in Ireland with my boyfriend, and it was one of the best experiences of our trip. I’m an experienced rider, while my boyfriend is a complete beginner, and the guides did a fantastic job making the ride enjoyable for both of us. They matched us with the perfect horses- Cracker and Big Tom!
Claire was patient, attentive, and very knowledgeable. She made sure I could enjoy a more engaging ride while also keeping things comfortable and relaxed for my boyfriend. The scenery along the trail was breathtaking, and it felt like the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation.
This tour was such a memorable way to experience Ireland, and I would highly recommend it. The driver was AWESOME! BOOK IT!

An enjoyable day in the Irish country side. - Tour got off on time which is amazing. We loved getting to horse back riding in Ireland. It’s a nice countryside ride that lasts about an hour. The staff was friendly and helpful. We then drove around Wicklow which was beautiful. And the monastic sight was pretty cool. The tour guide was nice. Full of good information. I enjoyed the day.

Horses and amazing landscapes - Really great trip, loved horseback riding and the views! Could have skipped the ruins and spent more time at the various stops to see the views.

Not enough time in Glendalough, all a bit rushed - Good spin around the countryside, but unfortunately I think they tried to cram in too much. There was not nearly enough time to take in Glendalough, for example. Not sure Enniskerry was a good lunch stop really. Entire trip could have worked better with an extra 1-2 hours. The driver of the van also had to do the guiding/talking, which resulted in, I think, less information and quality/accuracy of detail than some other tours. Pleasant but not exceptional, and as I said, too rushed!!

If you are a southeast Asian tourist, DON’T do this - The horse ride itself was great but the tour guide/ bus driver’s qualifications were questionable. He was quite rude to my Chinese friend at the start of the trip and rude to her friend towards the end.
For context, we messaged to ask if it would be acceptable for us to be 10 minutes late. He called my friend to ask where we were and we gave an update on our ETA, saying that we would actually only be 5 minutes late. He told my friend that this was unacceptable and asked if she thought it was fair that everyone else had to wait. She passed the phone to me because she had a difficult time understanding his accent. Once I picked up the phone, he was far more polite and said that the 5 minute delay was acceptable. We arrived 4 minutes late and he had already walked up the road away from the statue.
During the tour, he struggled to answer questions and provided very basic, overviews of the destinations. He constantly rushed us through the tour, giving us less than an hour for lunch and an hour and a half to walk to upper lake and back to the parking lot.
When two other participants were nearly 10 minutes late getting back to the vehicle, he was polite with them saying it was no problem. We felt the difference in how he treated the other non-Chinese participants relative to my friend was disheartening and racially charged.
Lastly, when the friend of my Chinese friend asked if she could be dropped off on the way to the designated drop off spot, the guide declined in a very blunt, rude tone. He later changed his mind (for some unknown reason) and dropped her off.
Overall, we really enjoyed the scenic views and the horse tour (despite a few hiccups - one participant fell off her horse because the saddle was loose but she was Okay) but the tour guide’s attitude really soured the experience at the beginning and towards the end of the tour.

Over-priced & Underwhelming - After a 1 hour non-narrated long bus trip from Dublin to the Wicklow area horse stables, we were kindly saddled up and began a 10 min ride through a lovely pasture and far view of the “Irish” ocean. Anticipation was building. We then entered the DARK pine forest for one hour on a muddy rock-filled trail where the only sights of interest were 2 blue porta-toliets & the rear of the horse in front of mine. (Don't believe the staged fake photo of riders overlooking a lovely lake; there were none, not even a valley vista!). We emerged from the DARK forest and returned to the stable.
We were quickly deposited in a small unremarkable village for quick lunch at tiny Poppies (a pub might have been more enjoyable). We then drove through miles of vast bog fields stopping briefly at the unremarkable “PS I love you” bridge and Guinness Lake. Then the bus driver deposited us alone for 1-1/2 hours at Glendalough monastery ruins where we could choose to walk a mile to view Sally Gap or not. Then another 1 hour non-narrated trip back to Dublin. This awful itinerary needs a LOT of work and forgiveness. Buyer beware!
