Rio Celeste - Tenorio Volcano National Park Hike Upon arriving at the entrance, you will start out on a 2 hour moderately difficult hike in the park. Along the trail you will walk through the rainforest and along the Celeste River, where you can observe one of nature’s most intriguing phenomenons. After this beautiful site, you will continue hiking to where two brooks merge together, turning clear water into a divine hue of turquoise that makes Rio Celeste. This chemical reaction, due to the volcanic minerals, makes for an astounding sight that can only be experienced at this unique location. After hiking, you will head to another part of the river outside of the park where you will get to swim in the blue waters!! This is where you will often see sloths and other wildlife. This hike is a fantastic opportunity for healthy exercise and unforgettable experiences in one of Costa Rica’s most unique hidden gems. Please be aware, on rare occasions the river may be brown due to heavy rains

However, our Celeste River Tubing Adventure offers a safeguarded opportunity to drift down the river in a group, steered by an expert guide who knows the river terrain comprehensively. You can relish the stunning scenery while tubing, and for added security, we provide a helmet.

A distinctive experience awaits you as you bask in the grandeur of the divine celestial river complemented by gorgeous floras; embarking on a floating journey amidst rapids and still waters that only the celestial river and its plant life can present.

Embark on an all-day private journey into the rainforest with an expert naturalist as your guide. The excursion includes a trek to the remarkable Rio Celeste waterfall followed by a river tubing adventure, offering spots to swim and observe wildlife including sloths. A local gourmet lunch is part of the package. Additionally, you can pause to appreciate the ‘Tree of Peace’, a testament to over 500 years of existence.

Awesome day-long trip! - Our tour guide’s name was Francisco and he was amazing!! He did everything he could to make sure our tour was phenomenal. We hiked to the waterfall, ate fresh pineapple and coconut water, tubed down the blue river, visited a sloth sanctuary and had a delicious meal. A day we will never forget!

Rio Celeste Tour - We loved it!! Alex is an absolute pleasure to work with, he’s knowledgeable about the area and always sharing information about the things/places we saw!! Truly recommended!! You won’t be disappointed Nos encanto!! Alex es muy agradable, conoce muy bien el area y donde fuimos y las cosas q vimos fueron muy bien explicadas por el y sus conocimientos.
