Best guide we could with for - We had a wonderful time. We brought our disabled brother with and got set up with the most wonderful guide, Alejandro Esquivel, he was so wonderful. He was so good with Paul. We had a fabulous experience and many laughs. We will never forget him. He deserves many more stars!!!! Thanks again Alejandro!!

A gem of La Fortuna- can’t miss!!!! - Andreas was a great tour guide! Very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. Didn’t hesitate to stop the group to look for animals. We saw lots of snakes and frogs!

Good hanging bridges-only option - A small group with a friendly, knowledgeable guide is the best way to have the most enjoyable and fruitful (i.e., animal spotting) time at the hanging bridges. We definitely saw and learned a lot that we wouldn't have otherwise. This is a great option if you aren't already doing the hanging bridges through another tour.

Amazing private tour of Mistico Bridges - We loved this private tour with Melanie as our guide! We were picked up promptly at our hotel and taken to the Mistico Hanging Bridges park. The weather was gorgeous and we saw so many amazing sights! Melanie pointed out things we never would have seen and identified sounds of different animals all along our hike! On our first bridge crossing we saw the Arenal Volcano and when we looked down we saw the amazing Blue Morpho butterfly! All along our hike, Melanie pointed to plants and animals we would never have seen without her. She took photos through her telescope and explained the different levels of the rain forest. Melanie was so knowledgeable and thorough all throughout the tour. At the end, we had some delicious snacks and drinks as we returned to our hotel! After one of our discussions on the delicious foods of Costa Rica she even gave us some suggestions for food and shopping in La Fortuna. She offered excellent service and her knowledge with extensive! Thanks so much Melanie!

Hanging Bridgez - Jose picked us up on time, explained so much about the eco system, made sure we understood where we were going, pointed out so much wildlife and knew so many of the plants and trees. His knowledge and courtesy are the best!! Highly recommend!

Great guide in Melany - We did three tours all in the same day through Jacamar. Melany was our tour guide and she was AWESOME! Cannot recommend her highly enough. Not only is she super knowledgeable, answering all sorts of questions re. botany, animals (particularly birds), and all things Costa Rica, she is just a great person to spend a day with. At the end of the day, it felt like we had met a new friend. We have done nature hikes in countries all over the world and it really special to have someone with you like Melany who gets as excited about spotting something as you do. We did the hanging bridges tour, the Arenal hike tour, and the waterfall. We enjoyed each of them. Do note, however, that you likely will not see nearly as many animals or birds on the Arenal hike. But you will see a ton on the hanging bridges tour. Doing all 3 in one day is definitely doable in one day if you are in shape. (I think we put in about 20,000 steps that day, but it was so beautiful, you hardly notice.) PURA VIDA MELANY -- it was great to meet you!

A great private guided tour - We would highly recommend this tour. The guide was excellent. Her education background was biology. You see so much more with a guide rather than wandering on your own. She knows what to look for, what has recently been seen in the park which helps her locate things, and does not hurry you. We took a private tour because my husband has mobility challenges. We walked at our pace. My husband rented an electric scooter from the park. Part way through the tour, the scooter died but a park employee quickly brought him another one that worked just fine.

Incredible tour guide - Nelson Navaro - This was an incredible experience! We did the hanging bridges tour and the volcano tour with Nelson Navaro. He went above and beyond. Throughout the two tours, he did an excellent job of telling us about the plants, culture, animals, and safety precautions. He went above and beyond what I thought our experience would be! We could not have enjoyed ourselves more. This experience was unforgettable, and he made this experience delightful for us. We hope to return and have him be our tour guide again someday!

Hanging Bridges - We had a wonderful time doing the hanging bridges with Andres! He was amazing, he even made the ants interesting!! I am deathly afraid of heights and was so nervous but it was beautiful and worth it for sure. Highly recommend this tour.

Small group great photos - We very much enjoyed our tour. The group was only four people so we were able to take our time and ask questions. Originally the group was to be eight but our guide felt that was too many for a good experience Our guide Bernardo was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the rain forest. Only let down was instead of the full tour and dix hanging bridges we only did three due to maintenance. However it is good to know that the bridges are well maintained. The pictures Bernardo took for us using his telephoto lens were phenomenal. I highly recommend Jacamar Tours
