Best surf scool experience - We had a great time with coach Marco, he’s very friendly, creates a fun atmosphere and gave us great advises, even for seafood restaurants. Obrigado again Marco

Amazing - Amazing experience with an amazing staff. Even if you can do only one lesson it worth it! Two hours experience and the price was cheaper comparse to other locations in Costa de Caparica

Super dedicated surf instructors, good material, safe care, even for children (and their not-so-young parents) - We were totally happy at surf school. We booked two hours of classes for us parents (over 40) and our children (9 and 12 years). Although the weather was very bad (rain, stormy), we had a lot of fun and managed to get up on our own, stand on the board and surf all the way to the beach in the end. The surf instructors were incredibly dedicated, were in the water with us the whole time, helped us on the board again and again, always gave suitable tips, looked after our youngest especially closely (almost 1:1). We felt safe and secure.

Good location, good instructors - Had a realy nice week here. Had lessons for 4 days. The surfinstructors were very nice. Surfschool is located near the beach so you can change your surfboard realy quick. Very good price. keep in mind that you are tied to certain times because of the tide.

Epic, awesome and fun! - I highly recommend Gecko surf school. Fantastic team of surf instructors, giving you clear instructions on how to catch and stand up on a wave. Pedro, Marcus and Fabrice made my 6 lessons such fun, I’m not the usual age of pupil but their teaching was so clear and they were very persistent in helping me gain the skills so that I managed to consistently stand up and surf. Not only was I delighted but they cheered me on too. Although it was a group lesson they make sure their instruction is personal taking the time to observe each pupil and tell them what they need to do to improve. Super experienced team that are very welcoming, keep you safe in the ocean and are fun to be around.

Best surf school in sunny Costa de Caparica - First single lesson 2 years ago, came back this year for a 4 lesson pack.
I believe the best review that I could give is that even someone as clumsy and untalented as me was able to stand on the board on the first day, and on the last day I could even catch some waves on my own 😁
Really great surf school, amazing coaches, not only super friendly and fun, but they also go the extra mile to make sure we catch the best waves, even when it means they will be freezing in deep water.
Also the quality of the equipment was very good, the wetsuit fitted me very well and felt like it was pretty good.
If you are interested in learning how to surf in the (cold) waters of Caparica, this is the place to go!

Great afternoon surf experience! - I had a great time surfing with the Gecko surf school! The school supplies you with a wetsuit and board. The instructors were informative, knowledgeable, and friendly. The instructors will help you throughout the experience so don’t worry if you don’t know how to surf or struggle with the waves. With the help of the instructors, I was able to catch and ride some waves that I otherwise wouldn’t be able to do on my own. If you are thinking about learning how to surf I would highly recommend the Gecko surf school.

Good surfing experience - Group class experience. The material included well, in good condition and suitable for the activity. The very nice monitors, watching the students, were responsible for helping and providing advice to improve the technique. The weather in the water is correct.

Great day out for all the family - Amazing day with the team from Gecko. Myself, my 16 and 12 year old had a lovely morning surfing with the team. All of us beginners, but with the help and guidance of the Gecko team we were up and surfing in no time. They were patient guides with lots of great tips which we have taken to a weeks surfing in Ericeira. Can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you Team Gecko
