Red Dragon Beach Club - As a beginner, you’ll be taught the essentials of wave catching and standing on a surfboard, or if you’re experienced, you’ll refine your skills.
The session kicks off with a short series of warm-up activities, an overview of fundamental safety guidelines, and instructions for in-water actions.
a) Protection gear for head and face
b) Correct methods for carrying the surfboard
c) Rules against head-first diving - reasons for this restriction
d) Warnings about potential currents and their flow direction
e) Designation of the learning zone.

Demonstration of basic paddling and pop-up (rising to stand on the board) techniques on the sand for newcomers, and advanced progression methods for seasoned surfers based on their proficiency.
Once in the ocean, for roughly an hour, we’ll put into practice the techniques and motions learned, focusing on the zone with broken waves or whitewater.
Following the lesson, we’ll head back to the base for a warm shower and farewells.

Lufi Surf School holds credentials from respected organizations such as the Portuguese Surfing Federation, Portuguese Sport Institute, Turismo de Portugal with a registration number of 363/2011, and is also a member of the Association of Surf Schools of Portugal.
With a decade of expertise in surf instruction, and backed by a team of skilled, certified professionals who utilize the latest methods and materials, we are dedicated to providing high-quality lessons and promoting safety in all our activities.
Lufi Surf School features extensive facilities with separate male and female dressing areas, offering our students plenty of space for convenience and storage of personal items. After lessons, students are welcome to use our hot showers for a soothing rinse. In contrast to other surf schools, our group lessons consist of a maximum of five students per instructor, enabling a secure environment and optimal learning experience.
