Please again, new DESIRE PLACE discovered. - Experience report: Adventures at the South End of Fuerteventura Our trip took us to the south end of Fuerteventura, and even the way there was a real adventure. The unpaved road was narrow, full of debris and very bumpy. With a maximum speed of 30 km/h, we moved cautiously as the dust stirred up behind us. Visit to the lighthouse First we stopped at the lighthouse. The wind blew into our faces, and the stormy conditions did not make us linger long. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the impressive view of the rough coast and the raging sea. the lighthouse of Punta Jandía is the southernmost point of Fuerteventura. It was built in 1993 and is a popular photo subject. Culinary experience in Playa Morro de Potalu After our short visit to the lighthouse we drove back to Playa Morro de Potala At the Punta de Jardine restaurant we treated ourselves to the best fish in a long time. The restaurant has a special flair, because in good weather you can sit outside surrounded by nostalgic remains from the golden age of fishermen. Old boats, nets, buoys and ponds tell stories of the sea and the hard work of fishermen. Drive to Cofete Beach From there we made our way to Cofete Beach. If we thought the road to the lighthouse was adventurous, then the drive there was even more spectacular. The narrow pass road was not paved, and there was no way to turn around. Encounters with other vehicles required a lot of improvisation. Often we had to think far in advance who could stop where. Communication often happened through sign language, light horn and a bit of mind reading. It is still worth the drive. Simply great views and magnificent scenery. When we finally arrived at Cofete Beach, the conditions were challenging: It was very windy and foggy, which significantly limited visibility. The waves raged and the spray almost robbed us of the breathtaking scenery. Nevertheless, the beach with its golden dunes and dramatic mountains was simply stunning. Curiosities and the Villa Winter I found the small cemetery on the beach particularly curious, which spread a unique atmosphere. Villa Winter, a mysterious structure with a mysterious history, was unfortunately closed, but I imagine it would have been worth a visit. Originally built in the 1940s, many legends surround the villa, which used to be a retreat for a variety of personalities. The combination of rugged nature, history and cuisine made this trip an unforgettable experience. It was a day full of adventure, impressive landscapes and fascinating stories – a perfect reminder of the wonders of Fuerteventura!

great morning tour with perfect guide - Successful morning with our guide Tim. Interesting tour to Cofete Beach. In particular, the tour of Villa Winter with many explanations and background information was very successful. Highly recommended tour that was worth their money.

Good excursion. - Good way to see Cofete and the winter house. Good guide/driver. You can drive there yourself, but the road is quite bad. A lot better to relax, see the sights and let someone else deal with the driving.
