Great time with Brooke - Brooke was fantastic with my five year old daughter. She was patient while my daughter tallied all the wild flowers Brooke shared with us. She played a senses game with her and had her taste the different plants that were edible. We happened to be the only two on the walk and she accommodated and earlier time which was better for us. We had a great time!

Kids and Adult fun entertaining hike - Miss Debbie was amazing with the kids and answered all their questions. We learned things we didn’t know and the hike was easy. All of us had no issues hiking and we’re keep entertained with her stories. If you have kids and want to do a hike I would recommend this one. When back in town we would do another with them.

Fun and engaging morning hike good for kids and adults alike! - Super easy and clear directions given during booking made finding the destination simple and straightforward. Debbie was a pleasure to work with right from the start, extremely engaging and attentive to the kids, and so knowledgeable with her background as a park ranger. She was even OK with our many photo ops, and my five year old’s incessant need to talk constantly. She really kept my seven year old’s interest. Only caveat was that from our cabin in pigeon Forge it was a 45 minute drive, but it was a beautiful road nonetheless.

Perfect for preschoolers - We highly recommend the children’s hike with A Walk in the Woods! My 3 and 5 year old learned a ton, and had so much fun. Our guide Megan took us on a hike perfect for my preschoolers but also fun and informative for the adults in the family. W caught salamanders and found evidence of bears that we never would have noticed without Megan pointing it out. This was definitely a highlight of our trip!

A Walk in the Woods - Sam, our guide was wonderful with the 2 children as well as the adults. We had a nice hike at a pace that allowed us to experience all aspects of nature. Some of the highlights were feet in the creek, walking on bridges, salamander hunting, the last of the trilliums, chewing on a birch twig, seeing where settlers kept their milk and butter.... the girls were quoting Sam at dinner that evening!

AMAZING for kids - Thank you, Michael!! We went with our 3, 4, and 6-year old children and were nervous that they wouldn't be able to keep up (even though the tour was geared towards children). Michael was so patient, helpful, and informative. It was my husband's favorite part of our trip, and my children all loved walking through the mountains! They got to facepaint with the rocks and jump over rivers through the rocks. Thank you for a wonderful time!!!

First hike in the smokies - Ms. Debbie was great! Made our hike fun for us and our little guy, and made it work despite the area being a little flooded from the recent rain. Great time in the outdoors!
