First stop in Cortona and free visit of the town (1.5 hrs). Cortona is a traditional walled Etruscan town, sitting at about 600 metres above sea level, it offers spectacular views over the surrounding valley and Lake Trasimeno. The main things I recommend you seek out in the town center are: - Piazza della Repubblica, Cortona’s historical center - Cortona’s pretty medieval streets - Piazza Signorelli - Cortona’s beautiful shops.

Join us as we traverse through the rolling landscapes of Tuscany, steeped in wine, art, and history, with visits to the picturesque Cortona and the ‘hidden underground vaults’ of Montepulciano. You’ll get to sample the finest wines from our Region and enjoy a traditional Tuscan lunch. The breathtaking and unspoiled scenery of Val d’ Orcia, with its endless sprawling hills dotted with grain or sunflowers and a lush green valley encompassing the Orcia river, takes center stage. Our journey begins with an exploration of Southern Tuscany and the historic town of Cortona. Later, we’ll delve into the ‘Subterranean Marvels’ of Montepulciano (The City’s Historic Cellars) housing enormous oak barrels where the renowned Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG “ages”. In Montepulciano, we’ll also partake in two separate wine tasting sessions across different cellars, paired with a sumptuous Tuscan lunch (including Pecorino cheese, bruschettas, ham, cold cuts, all paired with the best wines of our Region).
