Great value day out! - Great value day out. We took the 10am boat to Lobos, did a 6 mile walk around the island climbing up to the caldera. Wonderful views and interesting island landscape. Had our picnic lunch at the lagoon next to the salt marches. The snorkeling part of our trip at 13.20 was well organised and although the sea was a bit cool, it was so clear with hundreds ot various fish. The boat crew fed them so it was like a feeding frenzy round about us, just amazing. We then stayed on the boat back to Corralejo at 14.20, but it was possible to stay until the 5pm boat with plenty other lovely bays to explore.

Great activity! - Trip departed on time to the island, friendly, helpful staff My friend did the snorkeling, saw some wonderful fish. Following this we spent time exploring the island, it has one restaurant, we brought food with us and spent the day on the glorious beach, before getting the last few back to the mainland. Wonderful blue water and fantastic views. Bring water and snacks.

The ferry crossing was... - The ferry crossing was quick and having an additional activity of snorkelling at Lobos was great! I got the 1115 ferry and then met the 1320 boat in Lobos to go snorkelling. This was just enough time to go up Caldera but not walk round the whole island. If you wanted to do this as well, you could get the 1000 ferry from Corralejo or go back on the island after snorkelling to get the 1600 ferry back from Lobos.

Interesting though... - It was entertaining, even if you don't expect to see a lot of variety of fish. Since you anchor nearby, but no rocks you don't see much movement

Overall it was good as a... - Overall it was good as a day out but the conditions made it less enjoyable. I didn’t realise that your start time had no impact on the snorkelling, you either get dropped off at the island on the 10am or 11am ferry and wait to be picked up at 1.20pm for snorkelling. It was hot and exposed (luckily we were warned so had all the provisions) so I would have chosen the 11am rather than 10am to reduce the wait. The snorkelling part just takes you 5 mins down the coast and turns back round and then you snorkel just next to the pick up point which I found disappointing. The snorkelling itself wasn’t enjoyable but this was mainly because the water was so choppy. The only way in was to jump and there was loads of people below me so I felt lucky not to land on them. It was so windy at that point that the boat and people didn’t have much control and I don’t think there were enough floats or it was obvious enough that we could’ve had a pool noodle with us. I’m a strong swimmer and have snorkelled before but I struggled to be able to adjust my goggles and with everyone everywhere it just felt a bit out of control so I came in after about 5-10 mins having not really seen anything and clambered past everyone clinging to the ladder to save myself! There were lots of fish though and those who persevered past the rush did seem to have a great time so maybe my advice is wait until the rush dies down before jumping in. The snorkel boat then either drops you back at the island or can take you back. Everything was very punctual.

Not recommended - You do the same thing by taking your diving glasses. It's not worth the snorkeling, the boat trip is the same. Na de na.

Bof.. - Lobos Isola.. Small friendly walk but personal, I find it was not worth the price.. I don't think it's anything out of the ordinary, but maybe I missed something. Snorkeling.. Uh, how do I tell you... We announce a small boat trip (10min) to then do the snorkeling .. The excursion consists of showing you the fishing village (which you can visit on foot and which is located a few minutes from the pier) and then returning to the pier where the "snorkeling" is done. That means you're given a mask and a snorkel and you can jump into the sea, and the crew throws bread to attract the fish. No real guide and especially not in a calm sea or in a place that allows to see a little marine fauna and flora. Anyway disappointed for that part. So, I do not recommend this outing!

Very disappointed! - Unfortunately due to the location for this trip being poorly (actually ...not at all) signposted we were waiting on the wrong part of the harbour for 40 mins as we made sure to be there early (we were stood next to a big red sign in the midday sun that said FERRY ISLA DE LOBOS...). By the time we realised the other people waiting were getting the ferry to Lanzarote it had gone 1pm and we assumed our boat hadn't turned up. The information booth was then closed and the number provided only had a Spanish speaking operator. We went back to the booth later on in the day and the female staff member was very rude. Wouldn't let me finish talking and kept interrupting me, pointing at me and saying it was our fault we missed the trip as we were at the wrong place! I was trying to explain that we'd had minimal information provided as to where to go but she repeatedly told me it wasn't her problem. I was really surprised by her reaction as I was quite genuinely just after some advice about rebooking. She told me my reservation had been cancelled, I was unable to transfer it to the following day and that I would not be getting a refund as it was my fault. For anyone booking through trip advisor, make sure that you're looking for the glass bottom boat called Majorero (it's not mentioned anywhere in the booking confirmation) and not to wait by the sign stating 'Ferry Isla de Lobos'...!!! I think you are also meant to visit the booth prior to boarding the boat, which again...isn't mentioned at all in the booking confirmation emails. Also parking is a bit of a nightmare around here so leave plenty of time to find a space! It's a real shame to leave this review as I've seen many positive comments about this trip and it's only due to the communication break down and rudeness we encountered. The company website is very informative about where to go, and is in English. We just could have done with it being provided at the time of booking...
