Highlights
  • We will venture into this seaside community and dive deep into its historical connections with artists, pioneers of flight, and ground-breaking innovators.
  • Filled with charming storefronts and ideal for some leisurely window shopping, the tour will commence at the vibrant core of downtown Coronado, the Rotary Park. We shall meander through the central street and also step off the conventional route to uncover intriguing architectural gems hidden behind Orange Avenue. As we proceed, we will take a brief break for refreshments before we visit a distinctive local shop.
  • Built back in 1890, this edifice, designed in the classical revival style, was finished in 1909. We shall uncover the stories of the individual who financed it, the architect who crafted it, and given the opportunity, we might also get to take a peek inside.
  • This stunning gothic church boasts exquisite stone detailing and breathtakingly beautiful stained glass windows.
  • We will have a chance to visit a local museum (subject to its operational timings), where we can examine various artifacts and photographs that narrate the historical tales of Coronado and its residents.
  • This cosy, round park is nestled amidst stunning residences, and features displays of flags and equipment that cast light on Coronado’s military heritage.
  • Regularly rated among the top 10 beaches in the U.S., Coronado beach provides stunning panoramas of Point Loma and, on cloudless days, even Mexico. We will discuss the beachfront houses on our route, and hopefully spot some marine wildlife. We will then continue our walk towards the most colossal structure on the beach, the iconic Hotel del Coronado.
