- Newquay Activity Centre - Do you want an off-the-beaten-track adventure? Our Adventure Gully Coasteer is an exclusive secret, pioneered by our instructors just minutes from Towan Beach.
Prepare to be confronted by an awesome cave, packed with natural features for exploration. Alongside taxing yet fun traverses (horizontal climbing), you’ll negotiate epic jumps into our famous crystal-clear deep-water gully.
You’ll learn a whole range of super cool skills including wild swimming, technical traversing, and how to safely swim, climb and clamber through sea caves. You’ll also learn how to negotiate sluices, natural rapids, and big gully wash troughs. Along the way, you will meet and greet a variety of marine life that our trained and animated team of instructors will be excited to teach you about.

Additional Information
Our skilled trainers have extensively searched to discover this concealed treasure, forging a thrilling coasteering path where all activities take place within a singular, exceptional secret cove in Cornwall. At one moment, you’ll be climbing up via a crevice in the rock identified as Smeagol’s Perch, then jumping into its glittering azure plunge pool.
This is our unique ‘off-the-beaten-track’ undisclosed location, hence you won’t encounter any other coasteering units in the area, only abundant native fauna and even some sociable seals!

Jake’s 30th - We had Jacob and new instructor Lottie take me my husband and our couple friends out, the weather and the sea were “narly” i think is the correct term 😂 we thought we could die but we didn’t and that’s why it was a fun experience 😅 honestly the instructors were fantastic, encouraging, confident, experienced and safe throughout, we would 100% do it again (maybe in slightly better weather) but a memory not to forget!

Cornish Castaway - A super activity to be part of. The Castaway experience gave us a good mix of coasteering, Super SUP, cave swimming and bushcraft. Jacob, our instructor, made the group feel confident throughout. He was knowledgeable on the activities and the local area. A great afternoon!!

Best way to celebrate a milestone! - Did the castaway experience to celebrate my 40th and had a superb time. Thrilling experiences around the coast and the guide Jacob was knowledgable and supportive of anyone that needed the extra eye. 100% recommend using this company. Facilities were very good and all staff were friendly and helpful.

AMAZING!!! - I had never heard of coast steering before, so I was very hesitant and had no clue what I was walking into. But, it was AMAZING! It was new and I loved every minute of it. It was a bonus to have James as our instructor. He would lead us inside caves or go to a different part of the beach and had the history down to a T. He was very encouraging and let us set the pace from the start. Coast steering will remain the highlight of my time down at Cornwall!!!

Coasteering and megasup - The mega sup and coasteering were incredible, James was a great instructor and put time and effort into ensuring everyone had a great time. Would highly recommend and hopefully will visit again in the future.

Highlight of our trip to Cornwall 👌🏼 - The highlight of our weekend in Cornwall!
We had Harry & Scar take us Coasteering as the tide came in. They were welcoming, helpful and knew lots about the local area which made a fun activity even more interesting!
As well as jumping from different areas of the cliffs, we went into caves, floated around in the swell & saw seals!
Would definitely go again and recommend to anyone visiting the area!
(We came up from Somerset to St Agnes and then to Newquay for the coasteering)

Incredible ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Our guide James took our work party of 6 for a coastal and super SUP experience and it was amazing. His knowledge of the local area was impressive. Even though it was low tide when he took us out, that did not detract from the experience, with plenty of opportunity to be bounced around by the waves and loads of jumps thrown in at the end. The games we played on the super SUP had our party in stitches, and we even got to meet the local seal. An incredible experience, and I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending James and Newquay Activity Centre. I’ll be bringing my family here next summer for sure.

Coasteering in New Quay - Great experience! For anyone wanting to go on a little adventure whilst stepping out of your comfort zone, this is the way to do it. You're not forced into anything that you do not wish to do, and there's no rush to complete anything that you wish to do.
The instructor I had (Jacob) was patient, gave clear instructions and ensured everyone was having a great time. I would recommend this experience to anyone.
