- Fistral Beach - A warm welcome awaits you by your surf instructor, you’ll be sized up for your wetsuit before being handed your surfboard.\n\nYou’ll need your swimming costume, a towel and some shoes for the beach.\n\nOnce everyone is ready it’s a short walk to either of the beaches where your coach provides an overview of your lesson.\n\nThe aim of our group lesson is to pass on enough information for you to feel confident to surf in your own time.\n\nYou’ll learn beach, surf and board safety, before practising your prone surfing and catching waves on your stomach.\n\nAfter some further tuition back on the sand, it’s time to test out your pop up skills and ride waves back to the shore looking the part.

Get ready for an adrenaline-fueled time learning to surf in Newquay. We kick things off with lively warm-up exercises, beachside safety education and will guide you how to ride waves on your belly, enabling you to get into the water swiftly. Benefit from the best as our seasoned and devoted surf teachers break down and guide you through the essentials of catching and riding a wave in Cornish style. Master the trendiest water sport around and join us for a surf instruction session in Newquay.Â
Session Length:
All our sporting activities include two hours of actual sport time, beginning from the moment you don your wetsuit. As such, expect to spend around 3 hours with us in total.Â
What we offer:
We provide all necessary gear (i.e., wetsuits, surfboards). We advise that you come prepared with the appropriate attire to wear underneath your wetsuit as well as a towel. If it happens to be a sunny day, we recommend bringing a bottle of water and some sunscreen.

Simply the best - Brilliant day out with top class funny people who know their stuff, weather was sunny for a change in Cornwall.lol, and we had some decent 4 foot waves, overall great day surfing.

The best day of our holiday in Cornwall - A fantastic experience for my two young daughters and myself. We were all standing up before the end of the lesson. So much fun and laughter in the group.

Excellent beginners surf experience - Amazing experience enjoyed with my son (8yo). Small group of beginners (6) of mixed adult and children. James was a fantastic instructor, great with the kids and adults alike, boosting confidence, making it great fun and made sure we all got going and caught some good waves. Highly recommend this experience and Cornish waves.

Highly recommend Cornish Wave, great instructor and fantastic location. - Great surf lesson with James and a small group of beginners (5). James was great and I got going a few times- what a buzz! Good experiences over separate occassions - I've had good experiences over 2 separate occassions with Cornish Wave Surf and Adventure, thanks to their friendly, calm and professional staff.
Their pricing for some products was a little out of my range, but paying the extra pounds was definitely worth it. The thoroughness and great attention at what they do and friendliness made my experience really good so I'd happily be back for other services/new adventures.

Cornish Wave Surf 23rd August - Had a lot of fun and learnt a lot in a short space of time thanks to Matt, who made the lesson clear and offered his assistance when catching waves on Fiscal Beach. Zoe was helpful to fix a booking issue and very welcoming on the shop desk too, which was appreciated. Amenities to get changed and shower off at the end were provided and all in all, I’d return when back in Newquay.
