Cyclists have the opportunity to embark on a self-guided journey starting from Cork Bike Hire’s Midleton depot, where the welcoming staff will equip them with the ideal hybrid or electric bike for their adventure.
Discover the newly launched Midleton to Youghal Greenway, a 23 km off-road path that provides a picturesque, traffic-free route through the East Cork countryside, connecting Midleton, Mogeely, Killeagh, and Youghal.
Before beginning the ride, visitors can explore Midleton’s town center, which features the Jameson Distillery and the vibrant Saturday Farmers’ Market. Along the way, riders can enjoy Glenbower Woods in Killeagh, a tranquil forest with walking trails. As cyclists approach Youghal, they will pass through Ballyvergan Marsh, one of Ireland’s largest coastal wetlands, before arriving at Youghal’s sandy beaches and eco boardwalk.
